“I will be back again!”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

This hotel offers reasonable price with great services. We arrived early in the morning and understand that it's not the check-in time yet, but they staff are so friendly that they offered breakfast for us to settle down (this is because we will not be able to enjoy our breakfast for the last day due to the early hour of 1st flight out of the country).

The environment is very tranquil, no hassle and choas like the other hotels. The breakfast area has some view of the sea from far but that's ok for us. They serve continental English breakfast with some local menus (fried rice, squid, noodles) daily. I would like to give my compliment to the chef who prepared our half boiled eggs, it's perfectly done every single day!

The room is spacious. Some issue with the water supply during our stay (according to the local, Krabi's water supply is very inconsistent) but they have tried they best to solve the issue as soon as they could. Free complimentary waters daily, basic amenities, CRT TV with local channels (well, who bothers to watch TV during beach vacation), slippers for the swimming pools are all well prepared in the room. They share the swimming pool with the hotel next door but it's totally fine, 1.5m it's pretty deep for Asian. Toilet and bathroom are available besides the swimming pool, which again I didn't expect this great facilities for a 3 star hotel.

Ample motor parking space in from of the hotel. To be exact, the hotel is located directly opposite lay lae grill and The HillTop restaurant. Around 5-10 minutes walk to the main street. From Esan grill, turn into the junction and you'll reach the hotel in 3 minutes walk.

I will definitely return to this hotel again next time!

Room Tip: We have a lower ground floor, room facing the other hotel's room. If you want a seaview, please...

Anyone who says anything negative about this place is seriously needing to take a good look at themselves! Place is absolutely minted, room is massive, bed is monster size, dvd player, excellent shower, hot water, minibar, bathrobes, views of massive sandstone crags poking out of the ground, views of the andaman sea, the staff would literally do anything for you. Towels given out at the pool, buffet breakfast was fine, choice of thai or western grub, fruit salad, lad cooking eggs is so polite it's unreal. One of the reasons I love Thailand so much is the amazing people and this place lives up to that and much more. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Get on the top floor!!!

I do not recommend this hotel. After walking into my room I noticed an awful smell. I've stayed in many hotel rooms with odors, but this was impossible to ignore. I then walked to the bed and noticed a dead bed bug on the sheets. Additionally the water was dirty (brownish orange), even after letting it run for a while. When I picked up the phone to call reception the phone didn't work.

The hotel was fully booked, and they refused to move me to another location (the owner hung up on me when I simply explained the situation and asked to be moved). They later sent someone to my room to look at the issue. The man lit some incense, and simply brushed the dead bed bug on to the floor, then walked out. I'm sure he meant well, but this didn't solve the problem.

There are better hotels in the area for the same amount of money, I do not recommend staying here.

Try to get top floor deluxe rooms the view is awesome but all rooms are very nice and spacy and clean. Breakfast is fine. Small hotel with very nice and help full staff. They helped arrange tours cheap and great. Massage next door. 10 minuts walk to both beaches or take a very cheap tuktuk.

Booked this place for two nights through agoda because of the good reviews. The place was otherwise nice, clean, newish and has a peaceful location near the Ao Nang beach. But all of this is ruined by zero amount of soundproofing in the room. I got a room right next to the pool and there is a constant sound of the running water of the pool. Also, when kids are playing there, the noise is really really loud and echoes.

You can also hear people walking and talking in the other rooms, so if you want to spend any time in this hotel and are not a light sleeper, then you can manage. Put there a more quieter places even in the main street of Ao Nang. I cancelled my other booked night and it was ok, I got a refund from that. The staff had one person who spoke english and she was really helpful. Otherwise the staff was quite odd, laughing and not really being professional. When I arrived the hotel seemed to be in chaos with kids running everywhere etc. Breakfast was more western than asian, quite ok. Wifi worked, ac worked, there is a minibar but they charge you if you use it. Some complimentary water was included. The place had also a computer for use for 40 baht per hour.

If you're not in to kids or don't have your own with you, consider booking somewhere else.

Room Tip: If you book, do book a high floor room. Might be a bit more quieter there.

We stayed 2 nights at the Royal Nakara hotel - we were very suprised at the quality of the room, which was excellent value for money, given the cheap price we had paid. The hotel is 5 - 10 mins walk from the beach and main drag of Ao Nang and is very quiet at night, the room was very spacious and had its own kitchenette. The room was very clean and the hotel staff were very pleasant and friendly, would definately recommend this place

This hotel is situated close to the shops, bars and restaurants. It's away from any traffic so it is quiet at night. The room is clean and comfortable. The room is tired however nothing to worry about. The staff are happy, helpful and friendly. You have off street scooter parking. The breakfast is not bad. We were told the showers have their own individual very small water heaters that don't hold enough hot water to last five minutes, trying to shave your legs and wash your hair becomes difficult in three minutes unless you can bare a cold shower. Not a bad hotel would have been perfect if it wasn't for the dud showers.
