“Basic accommodation in need of a little TLC”
Reviewed 30 March 2014 via mobile

We stayed at this bungalow village for 2 nights and for the purpose of our stay, overall the "hotel" met our needs. The staff were friendly and offer a courtesy drop off service to the beachfront at Ao Nang every hour, otherwise it takes around 20 minutes to walk. The food available at lunch was ok, breakfast was quite limited in choice. The room was clean and neat, but simple things like the curtains were a bit dirty around the edges and the pool was a bit cloudy means it could do with a little TLC. Remember this is a very reasonably priced room so you get what you pay for! Some expansion work is going on at the moment, this caused some early morning noise, but I can't see how this could be avoided.

I'll cut it short :
Pros:
1. Staff is very welcoming and service oriented ( we pre booked for 3 nights and they let us check out after 1 night at no extra cost)
2. Free lift to the beach every hour from 8am-8pm.
3. Decent+ breakfast buffet.

Cons:
1. The hardest mattress we've ever slept on. I actually checked under the sheet to see if it's not wood. Horrible sleep. When we asked to switch rooms ( upgrade) we were told all rooms have the same mattress.
2. Worn out bungalow. Totally needs a make over. Even the mosquito net had holes in it. Wasn't a pleasant room to stay in.
3. The pool was green. Green cause it was dirty. Couldn't see the bottom of it.
4. Wifi - only in the reception area and even then - very hard to connect. If we did - it was super slow.

Actually it is not a hotel in its usual meaning - it is a real jungle village consisting of different houses. You can always choose a house that suits best to your comfort and price requirements. The staff is great, breakfasts include everything you need, rooms (houses) are simple, but very cosy. Ideal place for any kind of trip, either family holiday or holiday with friends.

This is a great resort, we stayed in a bungalow with aircon by the pool. The views are some of the best I've seen. The pools great. The rooms and bathrooms are good, clean. Would recommend to any body. Ao Nang is a brilliant town. The limestone cliffs are breath taking

The room is lovely only needs a mini bar and a place to put our clothes on. Free bus to the beach but is a easy walk coming back. The breakfast is really good and the staff is lovely. Not much to do around and the wifi only works around the reception area.

we had booked fan bungalow, everything was good except the fan. The owner was really nice to offer us the bigger fan , but we upgraded to the AC Room. The staff was really very friendly. We had a pleasant stay with a quiet nature in background.

We stayed here for 4 nights, the setting is lovely and the views from the pool area are superb.

For three nights we were in a 'bungalow fan' room, no air con, no fridge, no TV which meant that myself and my wife had to talk to each other :') The bed was comfy!

For 1 night we were in a room right next to the pool with air con, fridge, TV etc. We loved this room and our new pet 'Fred' the Lizard who was very vain as he always hanging out around the mirror.

Buffet breakfast was very good, excellent coffee.

Free transport to the beachfront every hour (up until 8.00pm) - No free transport back though, it takes about 15-20 mins to walk.

SWIMMING POOL! I have seen other comments about the pool, it was pretty dire, all it needed were some more chemicals in it. I told them about the pool FOUR times, I told them that they were getting bad reports on Tripadvisor because of the pool. They had two or three (on the last day we were there FIVE!) people in the pool with rags to wipe the green slime of the sides.
After one of the times I told them about the state of the pool the receptionist came over and put four small tablets into the filter unit, a waste of time!
Finally on the last afternoon we were there I told them again about the pool, it was hard getting through that the pool needed more chemicals, the next morning as we were leaving the hotel I noticed the pool was clearer than it had been during our stay.
You could now see the hotel name in the bottom of the pool, until this point we did not know their name was spelt out in tiles at the bottom of the pool. I think my point about chemicals had finally been acted upon the night before!

Despite the pool issue we would definitely stay again.
