Booked a mini suite for 3 nights, suitable for couple with two kids, however need to pay extra bed 1000 bath per night which I think on the high side. Room is clean and neat though. Breakfast is simple and quite good. Attitude of some reception and kitchen staffs can be improved.

I stayted there for four nights, it was an overall ok experience.
The staff is mainly friendly, check in was easy. The room itself was huge with a nice balcony facing the sea - i somehow booked a mini suite. It was all a bit old, but clean. you only could control the light from a remote system close to the bed, there were no power plugs next to the bed, probably people didnt charge their phones when it was built. The room was a bit dark.
One other bad thing is that all plugs stopped working when you left the room, so also no charging of camera without staying there.

Big minus: i left my laundry there, tried to pick it up after 24 hours but they forgot about it. it was still standing in a corner, untouched. she organized to get it cleaned over night, nevertheless i had to go out in a sweaty tshirt that night.

Big plus: Central, close to everyything, and a phantastic restaurant downstairs.

Room Tip: beachfront rooms have a nice balcony.

This is not a resort it's a hotel, an old property being refurbished so noise is constant. Staff are indifferent with the exception of one girl in catering who does breakfast and works in one if the restaurants. Reading lamps inadequate wattage, no hooks no towel rails in bathroom. Huge room and bathroom contains minuscule shower ?? Four days into our stay a manager has inspected the lack of hooks and towel rails and will report to head office in Bangkok big woop. It is very convenient to the beach a good stroll to the lots of restaurants convenience stores the beach etc.
it's cheap it's convenient. It's clean the room is large. It's annoying it's one of those places that has signes up everywhere like your going to take a banana from the breakfast buffet for a mid morning snack or heaven forbid take your own glass of wine to the pool and drink it there. Separating your key from the power tag is forbidden also with signs and baht charges well displayed. Overall it's cheap handy bot very welcoming and annoying and it's an old hotel not a resort.

Room Tip: Don't choose 904 it backs on to the restaurant and the chop chop chop goes on till about 11pm.

I liked this hotel. clean, good staff, nice pools and views. We had an ocean view/pool view great only bad thing was we were by the kitchen and had to listen to the kitchen fan going. could not sit on the balcony when fan was on too loud to hear ocean or anything. If our room was located better would have been 5 stars. Also did not care for the town everywhere was very pricey for Thailand and stores had no prices for they are out to rip you off.

i don't even remember the last time i gave a hotel a bad review, hostels and guesthouses give better service than this.

we arrived at ao nang beach resort at 1pm, greeted by an unsmiling counter staff. she wasn't rude or anything, just didn't make you feel welcome. didn't seem helpful, always preoccupied, didn't seem interested in talking to you. so she said we had to wait till 2pm for check-in. that's fine, we went to the restaurant for a meal and drink. Back at 2-ish. followed another reception staff for check in. they said that there would be construction works ongoing daily from 10am to 5pm. well, we weren't quite prepared for that but not much choice i guess, since we already paid for the room.

Room: Room was large, of a good size, with a fridge and basic amenities. No floor towel, no toothbrushes (not sure if available on request). separate tub and shower. tub only had a tap, no shower head. The double/king bed was formed by joining 2 single beds together, hence you may want to note the uncomfortable gap in between. No facial tissues, just toilet paper. Complimentary 2 bottles of drinking water was provided in the fridge.

Service: Went to the reception to ask if they have an area map, responded with a curt "No" from the receptionist while seemingly very preoccupied with the computer again, responding without even looking at you. they then said we can go to the tour agencies along the main road to get one, when i asked if we would need to pay for the map, they said "don't know."

Returned to the room on the first night at around 9pm to take the first shower, there was no hot water in the room. wanted to call reception to check but the phone wasn't working. the wifi was not working either. so went downstairs to inform the night receptionist, replied with a curt "yes wifi not working, need to come down reception to use, hot water not working?" so she followed me back to the room to check the hot water, and said ok, she will send a technician now. phone will be repaired tomorrow. waited for 25min, no technician, so i went down again and asked her if the technician was coming, she say "still no hot water?" i said i thought the technician was supposed to come, she came up again, and apparently there was hot water again, just that they didn't bother to inform us when we thought the technician was supposed to come to the room.
on one of the days, we went out from the hotel at around 3pm, and when we returned at night, the room was not made, which is fine, since we went out late and we did not hang the "please make up room" sign. Went downstairs to request for toilet roll, she asked "your room don't have?" i explained that we did not have our room made today. she very unwillingly strolled to get a roll from the storeroom at reception, and when i asked if we could have an extra roll (when we checked in there was a roll in the toilet and an extra roll on top of the fridge), she replied curtly "we only have this." .... it's not like we're going to bring the roll home if its unused come on. About an hour + to 2 hours later, we really needed more paper and went down to ask again, it was a different receptionist who was just about the leave for the night, and i asked her for toilet roll and she promptly went into the storeroom and got me a roll. thankyouverymuch, i would be horrified if the one i got previously was 'the only one you have'.

Room wifi was not working throughout our whole stay there. Not a single time were we made to feel welcome, or even shown a smile, much less a genuine smile or welcome. found the staff to be unhelpful, rude, unfriendly and extremely un-passionate about their jobs. i have been to many guesthouses and hostels and have never felt this regretful about a hotel, much less in the land of smiles. i am not a picky traveller, and i've had much better stays at poorly-rated hotels in other parts of the world. Even the construction didn't bother me enough to feel negatively about this hotel.

Pros: Large room & bathroom, ample space and seating area at balcony. Aircon was strong, tv channels were alright. Hairdryer provided in room, shower pressure was good.
Cons: No floor towel, gap in between single beds joined together, no facial tissues, bad staff attitude.

Would not return and would not ever recommend it to anyone i know.

Located on the beachfront road it provides easy access to everything.

The check in experience (very important to me) was perfect and the owner Ning happened to be in reception when I checked in. She gave us a very warm welcome.

The room we stayed in was huge and very clean. It was also a great deal at the price charged.

They also have a good restaurant and a nice bar.

I will be going back for sure
