Travel with my family. We impressed in their hospitality. All staff willing to assist in particularly Front Desk staff. Tour desk at Front Desk very convenience. Good breakfast. The price are reasonable. Thank again for all staff. We definitely come back.

This hotel could be a really pleasant place to stay. However, the attitude of the hotel's manager and front desk staff is rude, defensive, unintelligent and let's the rest of the staff in the restaurant and cleaning staff down.

To start with, any decent normal hotel would not quote double the going rate for a taxi transfer from Krabi airport to the hotel on arrival. They insist on being payed via credit card before arrival with all card details including cvc security code being sent in an email therefore encouraging credit card fraud. Therefore we had to pay even more to book a transfer from the UK.

As has been said in other reviews, there is a strong sewage smell in the hotel. This permeates throughout the hotel at different times of the day and night.

However, other than front desk and management, the staff at breakfast etc were friendly and polite. The hotel is not the cleanest. Krabi Cha-da l is well placed for Ao Nang and in a peaceful location.

This is definitely not a four star hotel. More like a 2.5 or 3 star hotel.

Rooms are clean, nice decor, we stayed in room 416 and the air-cond was noisy. I would say the restaurant staffs are kind with welcome smile, but probably not the lady and the guy at reception counter? C'mon, cheer up ;) one negative side, you'll need to pay for any single service you asked, such as: they charged if you wanna make a local call, and they charged for having internet in room. There's only one lift so you'd probably need to wait for quite some time especially if you're staying in higher floor. For 7th floor you need to get access to 6th floor then climb the stairs to reach your room.
By the way, nice pool.

Don't under any circumstance stay here.

You'll wish you weren't on holiday if you stay here.

The staff there could not give one single damn about you. After complaining via booking.com my email was answered without a single apology as to my dissatisfaction with the stay, but with a full pack of lies from the manager to defending the hotel. Absolutely disgusting.

Don't make the same mistake and stay here...

1. The awful smell of sewage in the room.

Upon arrival we called down to reception to report a smell in our room.

There was a clear language barrier and nothing was done about it.

The smell came in waves, and during our last night, and morning of check out, the smell was atrocious and filled the whole room. It was now clear why when our maid was cleaning our room she would leave the balcony doors open.

When checking out I asked to speak to a manager about this, however, they did not arrive until 9am, and we had to leave at 8.30 to catch a ferry to our next destination.

Even when checking out, there was a clear language barrier. I asked the receptionist if she had understood, and she failed to understand the problem.

2. Stained bed sheets

Ever day, without fail, when our sheets were changed, they would be changed with stained sheets. Dirt marks, make up marks, who knows what else! Disgusting.

3. Incorrect minibar charge

When checking out the receptionist tried to charge us for 2 bags of crisps costing 64 baht. With this being less than £1.50 IF we had of eaten them, I would have gladly paid. However we had not eaten these. The maid had obviously seen these we're missing from our minibar and added them on our second to last day. These crisps were not in there originally, so I can see why she may have thought we had eaten them. We did not eat them, and will not pay for them.

4. Cold food

The daily breakfast was always cold. Cold bacon, cold hash browns, cold sausages. Not pleasant.

5. Dangerous incident

When using the Internet at the hotel, Danielle got up off her chair, as she stood, the chair collapsed and folded under her feet. Luckily, very luckily, the way it callapsed meant her legs and feet were not trapped under the chair. This was extremely negligent and potentially dangerous and it was extremely forunate she was not hurt or injured. She already has a problem with her lower back and coccyx bone, this could have potentially reinjured her - luckily it didn't. After the shock of this happening, we went straight to the hotel reception to express our anger. The man at reception muttered he was sorry and barely even looked at us.

Foul vile liars who ruined our trip, and will ruin yours.

This resort was clean and comfortable and I would rate it at about 3 1/2 stars. The room we had was on level three just above the main pool. We had asked for a higher room when booking to get a view over the bay but this was ignored. The lobby staff were functional but not overly friendly.
The lay out of power points in the room was not good. The bed was very hard but a mattress topper was provided on request and this made for comfortable sleeping.
Be aware that the drive way up to the lobby from the Main Street access is quite steep and Tuk tuks will not negotiate it.
The breakfast was reasonable and my advice is to get your eggs and pancakes straight off the cook top as they go cold quickly in the unheated bain-marie. I loved the omelets.
There is a pool on level 7 which is rarely used probably because the bar and food service is on level 2 where the main pool is located.
The Wifi was very intermittent and could be improved at little cost to the establishment. Wifi is only available free on level I in two locations. There are many cafés just outside this resort with fast and free wifi and quality food and drinks.

Room Tip: Try for high floors. Less noisy and better views.

We stayed here last week in February as part of a twin centre holiday. The reason for choosing this hotel and location was so that we could do majority of trips from here and use as "busy time".

The location of hotel is tucked back on hillside with views overlooking Ao Nang. Hotel was of a good standard including spacious, comfortable rooms with a view. 3 pools at hotel and we recommend use of pool at highest point for peace and tranquility.

Food was good although we only ate breakfast as food in resort was excellent and very very cheap.

Yes it's a 20 minute stroll to beach but allows for opportunity to see Ao Nang with all it's culture and cuisine. It's only 50 bhat from centre to hotel so excellent return trip if you want to avoid the heat!

As for trips we highly recommend 7 Island tour that started in afternoon and finished with lovely beach BBQ on Toda beach. Also Hong Island (kayaking) and Ya's Thai cooking class is a must do when in Ao Nang, fantastic! We went into Krabi town one night and was not impressed. We also did the Ao Nang tour via Tuk Tuk and was a laugh. Finally we did James Bond island and found this to be a very good trip with visit to floating village and temple. All trips were booked locally.

Would we return to Ao Nang and recommend Cha Da as a good base? Yes.

The good bits about this hotel is,the rooms are clean and comfortable with a/c and fan .Nice balcony views with seats,Breakfast choice reasonable with usual fare All staff very friendly and helpful with a cheerful smile..Pool and patio areas ok but sun loungers terrible, made of steel which made them very hot and could easily burn young children if not careful also very uncomfortable to lie face down.
BE WARNED there is a very steep hill of 2in1 for about one hundred yards to climb to this hotel from the road that goes down to the beach which takes about twenty minutes to stroll to.not so good if you are a bit elderly or infirm. ..

Room Tip: All higher rooms third floor and up have good views
