“The hotel not that bad and not good either.”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

I buy it from groupon. It is quite cheap since it is not a peak season but raining season, I stayed on 3rd October until 6th October therefore the price is cheap. Since it is raining season, we can’t do much island hopping. The room is average size, modern, clean and comfortable. Every room can overlook the swimming pool and provided a clothes hanger to dry our clothes. The hotel not located in front of ao nang beach so we need to walk 10 minutes to the beach. Since it is raining season, they provide us the umbrella which I’m glad with their service. Staff can speak English so communication is not a problem. In front of hotel, a lot of tuk tuk provided, if you lazy to walk you can choose tuk tuk. It costs 20 baht only. No free wifi except you go to lobby and access but we buy the hotel package from groupon so it is included. The breakfast not many variety and the food not impressive. Even they change dishes everyday but the food still not really tasty at least we won’t feel bored with the food. The swimming pool look decent though but there are 2 swimming pool which not connected. You can choose either one of swimming pool to swim. If the other swimming pool is crowded we can change to another swimming pool. They provide massage but charge 300 baht per hour but you can choose massage either beside the swimming pool or in the room, outside of the hotel there are many massage which charge 200-250 baht per hour. There is one convenience shop and sell a bit expensive compare to 7-11. The room wall I think quite thin as I can listen to the next room conversation. We having a problem with wifi in the room and tell to the receptionist. She just tell us she will informed her manager and that’s it. I’m not sure whether they follow up but luckily the next day the wifi are working. room keeping is very slow. Even after 3pm, they still not yet clean the room. Staff are friendly and even the porter also smile all the times to every guest. There are still a lot of gap to improve their hotel. The hotel not that bad and not good either.

The hotel looks slightly different from the photos that we see on the web.

The rooms are smaller than they look too. But nevertheless, we had a great stay. Me and my fiance went there in Sept 2013 during the low season. So we got a good deal for the room from Groupon.

Room was clean and all the basic in the rooms were there.

Staffs were very friendly, except for one particular guy. We went to enquire about the island trips and he passed the leaflet to us without saying anything and gave us the cold look when we ask him more about the company that they were partnering with for the trip. But let's not let one bad apple spoil the entire service right? the other staffs were (as mentioned) extremely friendly and helpful. One of them even suggested me to leave 30 mins earlier stating upon checking that in the morning there will be a very long queue at the airport and he was right. He even told us to pass him our breakfast coupon so he could order a breakfast-to-go pack for us.

Location wise, it is relatively close to Ao Nang beach, about 10 minutes away. There you will find many restaurants, shops for souvenirs and even street food stalls all along your walk to the beach.

Would highly recommend this place. Especially if you go during the high season, we can imagine it would be much merrier.

Location was very good. 40 minutes from Krabi airport. Whatever you need is all very near. 10 minutes walk to Ao Nang beach. Staffs were helpful. They were upgrading, so I guess its gonna be better soon. Staffs knew basic English so communication was not a problem.

First of all.. Notes to those arrive early to this hotel.. You are unable to check in early no matter what you do.. Even to extend I wanted to pay the hotel extra money for checking in early. They told me the rooms are full but the actual facts are they want you to join their tour package to kill times while you wait at the hotel. There are nemurous partner oh travel agents works with them. So try arrive on their checking in time else they will coax or transfer you into tours. Back to room.. For the price I pay.. It is consider ok. Paid around usd45 per night. Each room has balcony and it has bathtub,shower,wardrobe,hairdryer and decent TV. The bad of this hotel.. No free wifi. Free wifi only available at the lobby area and the charges is Thai bath 100 for 1hour. Not worth it! So what I did was I went and bought a TrueTone prepaid card for Thai bath 450 and guess what it offered free welcome internet data plan of 2G for 30days and the coverage and speed was superb. I'm happy with this. My room was without breakfast and I tried the buffet for thaibath 200 and not worth it. Taste bad and not much varieties. This hotel is also a walking distance to aonang beach however still a distance for lazy bump like me.. Taking a Tuktuk ride to aonang will cost thaibath 20 only. It's cheap! Overall this hotel is just OK .. Not that bad and not that great either. My last important note to all, be careful of money changers., they will scammed and confused you the amount of money you wanted to change..ended up you will lose a certain amount of money. They have skills of disappearing the notes while counting the cash. What you do is before you hand the cash to the money changer.. Count the money in front of them and make sure it is the right amount before they could fool you into pretext that you actually miscounted your cash less.

I was extremely looking forward to my stay in Ananta Burin Resort but little bad experiences accumulated and soon I wasn't enjoying it that much.

The hotel is located about a 5-min walk from the beach. So no problem accessing the main shopping area. It is also located just opposite convenience stores. So pretty good location.

When we reached, we had to wait about an hour for the room. Seriously? Even after I have mentioned in my booking that it is a birthday surprise? I thought the hotel could have been more prepared. Quite interesting now that I noticed in previous posts by others, they too experienced late check-ins.

The room was decent though. Nothing spectacular. Had a nice balcony overlooking the pool.
They have limited TV channels. Weird that they stated to have HBO but there isn't. Probably only 3 English-speaking channels. Fox Movies, BBC and Sports. On the first day, other than the check-in hiccup, it went pretty well. After shopping, we thought of having a massage in our room but was told that their massage service ends at 9pm. So we tried it the next day. Really wasn't spectacular. Cost 300baht per hour, and yes they can do it in your room. There's actually better one just outside - Feel Good Massage. For room make-up service, you need to inform the reception too.

Every extra little service in the hotel is chargeable. Really! On the 2nd day, we rented a bike for 200baht - had to wait for their manager (who was the only one to have the bike keys) for 1hour. And they were hardly apologetic. When we returned the bike, the petrol tank was about 1/4 full and they requested us to refill. Was quite upset given that it was only half full when it was handed to us and reckon that they could have been more understanding since we waited for one hour the day before. Oh well, that didn't happen.

I even asked for a very small cake just to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and was told to pay 450baht. Oopps..thought the hotel was providing it complimentary like most other hotels usually do but nope.

Oh, there is only free wifi in the lobby area. But you can purchase for your personal use in your room for 100baht per hour.

We didn't book breakfast and thought of ordering room service at 8.30am. However, their room service only starts at 10am.

For tour booking, try booking from the counters opposite the hotel. The hotel offered 600baht per person for two-way trip to Krabi Town Night Market but the opposite tour counters offered 250baht per person.

Make a good choice.

Stayed for 3-Nights in the Superior Room (city view).
Nice, clean and comfortable Room.
Buffet Breakfast was delicious.
Lobby has a lot of comfortable seating and Free WiFi can only be accessed from here.
Hotel is strategically located, surrounded by other Hotels and there are Convenience Stores just opposite.

Walking distance to (approx.);
* Road-side Stall selling delicious Mango Sticky Rice for 60B (1-minute walk)
* Stalls selling different Thai Food (5-min)
* Shops and Restaurants (7-min)
* Beach (12-min)
* Town area (15-min)

Everything is walking distance from Hotel. We only hired a Taxi to the Night Market and to Airport.

***A word of advice; when arrive Krabi Airport and hire a Taxi, the Taxi would first make a stop at a Tour Company. The Tour Agent will try sell their Tour packages & will say their rates are cheaper then the Hotel's. Yes, their rates may be cheaper then the Hotel's. However, if you take a 10-min walk from Hotel (heading to Town area), there will be many other Tour Companies which offer the same packages, but at a lower price (some up to 50% lower)***
