We came back to ao nang after some time on phi phi. We stayed two nights, we had a lovely room by the pool! A lovely welcome by the staff too. The room wasn't spotless but not too bad. Didn't eat here as we knew other places to go. We got the room for great value so we were delighted! We would return!!

Hi, stayed here for 4 nights in June 2014, room was clean and well presented, pool was very good , quiet but didn't open until 10am, good quiet location about 10 minutes from the main shopping area, wifi free in reception area, hotel based in a nice cul de sac with bars ,restaurants , shops and all other necessities . Only down side is the buffet breakfast , poor would be giving it a compliment, however the Swiss chalet is across the road and it does a great range of breakfasts,

Room Tip: Go for pool view

Had a lovely 4 nights at Ananta. Facilities were clean and staff friendly. Was a little difficult ordering room service as staff had trouble understanding English but that's very minor detail. Pool was cleaned daily - would have like it to be open earlier than 10am as it is hot and has full sun and an eager toddler always wanted to go in. We hired a long boat with a local driver and that was the best! One of the conscience stores across the road had mostly out of date products. Good massages across the road!

I stayed with a friend for two nights at this resort. The accommodation is splendid, spacious room that are very clean. We stayed in a deluxe room that had direct access to the pool on the ground floor. The pool is also beautiful.
As beautiful has the hotel is, I found that the staff were not always up to scratch. Upon our arrival we were not given welcome drinks however I noticed other people were. Some staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful whereas others were not.
The hotel only has wifi in the lounge area and you have to pay for wifi in your room which I thought was not great considering this hotel is 4*.
Moreover we had lunch in the hotel once and the food was rather average but quite expensive.
All in all the hotel was lovely but there were a few mishaps that slightly ruined our experience.

We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights. Nice hotel. We had an additional bed for the 3rd person. Room was quite spacious, good breakfast and swimming pool. Few things we were unhappy: there was a power trip on the 1st night at around 6.30am. It was really frustrating as we really needed a good rest before starting our island hopping trip. We called the reception to fix it and they said there is power trip at the whole Ao Nong. We also had problem with the air conditioner few times. Not forgetting there was a very unpleasant smell from outside of the hotel (like from the sewerage tank). Not forgetting something that we were all disappointed with was the ROOM SERVICE! when we entered the room the floors were still wet, just cleaned the room. The staff at the night shift can't speak English and he was very RUDE to a friend of mine when she wanted the room service to clear the glasses which we kept outside the room. Some of them can't really understand what are we requesting for!
Overall, happy with the hotel but disappointed with the staffs.

location is a little far from the main beach area so need to do some walking and as you walk along you will find a lot of shops and restaurant.

My husband and i stayed here for 8 nights, the staff are great and private pool option is the best way to go!!! BUT there are a few things I wasn't happy about. Our tv didn't work and the night shift guy looked at us but couldn't speak any English, thankfully my husband fixed it. When they cleaned our room it got progressively worse, It was like they rushed to make the bed and left. Some days it was really good and they cleaned up and replaced the tea and coffee but one some days it was as if they didn't have time. Just a suggestion for this hotel: Have a check list when cleaning the rooms to keep it consistent. Also the book in the room says the room service is available till 10:30pm, well its not. Also on our first night we realised there was no phone but we asked for it twice and we got it. We hired a scooter from the hotel which was only 200B and at other places its 500B so that was good! We knew we had to pay for the wifi and its only 490B for our duration and the connection was fast.Location is perfect, 3mins walk away from the beach and shops! I would return to this hotel and recommend it but i don't like having to clean my own sink and shower on holiday. ps im not a messy person!

Room Tip: Pick the Private Access Pool Rooms, its worth it!
