Booked this hotel from the pictures and reviews on booking.com,
On first sight the hotel looked run down, Once we where in the room we thought it would be good enough for the 3 nights we had booked! Then we noticed a couple of ants running around the floor/walls,
We stayed the first night and woke up to find the room covered in ants! In are bags and clothes!! We explained to reception in which they said they will just clean the room! They came and checked it and moved us into the room next door,
Which was good enough for us! Until we seen the ants running around in this room,
In the end we had the find a new hotel and check out with no offer of a refund or apology from Haleeva!

This hotel is on the main road, so easy to find. The room is clean, the counter staffs are friendly and helpful. Lots of eating places nearby, and for the Muslims, lots of Halal food around this hotel. Pros: free coffe or tea and the lobby counter, they offer islands trip packages and ccoking classes. Con: the third night, water from air con was leaking, but got fixed on the next day.

Room tip: Book early to get cheaper price, for the superior room etc- 6 months before travel.

We went there for island hopping and activities so most of the time not in the room, so a budget but lovely hotel like this was perfect.

There was no lift but the effort was minimal. The hotel was basic but clean.

Room tip: Room facing the hills are quiet and scenic

I was excited when I read the review about this hotel in booking.com saying value for money and all that. Then, when I read the reviews inside tripadvisor, I felt a little bit skeptical about this hotel. So, I didn't get my hope too high.

Then, the moment of truth, When I checked in, I was like WOW!!. It is nothing like the review.

The GOOD:
1) The room was very clean, very comfortable, even the toilet smelled nice, unlike what people said in here. Water Pressure's good too. We stay in a superior-class room.
2) The staff and the owner were very, very nice people. They were warm and friendly. I accepted the fact that they can't speak fluent or good English but they try their best to fulfill our needs. One time my friend lost her room key an the owner consoled her saying the key have been found and the person already called the hotel about it. We didn't have to pay any fines or fees. (thank god)
3) The pool was very clean. The greenish color you see is just only the tiles. The water is crystal clear. Too bad we didn't able to take a dip.
4) You can book everything from transport to night market, transport to the airport, island tour package and any other package and also you can rent scooters here. All done efficiently and you can bargain. We get the tour for PhiPhi Island at only 780 baht when the original price is 900 baht. I know that you may get cheaper prices in other places, but plus with the efficiency, we don't have to worry a thing. And for scooters, If you are the hotel guest, you don't have to leave your passport as a deposit. You just pay and the scooter is all your for a day. Easy right?
5) The hotel is near to many bars, eateries and shops. For Muslims, do not worry, a lot, I say again, A LOT of Halal stall available. You can choose which one you want. For non-Muslim, There are also A LOT of bars and eateries around there and as you go further down to Aonang. So, knock yourself out.

The NOT SO GOOD:
1) they don't have iron and ironing board and kettle for superior rooms. So, for drinking, I had to buy water from the nearest 7-eleven.
2) they don't have elevator. Not so good when people have to carry big luggage. (Good workout though)

Overall, It was a very nice stay. I think, with the price, this is really the best hotel in Aonang. I will definitely be back and this hotel will be my choice. Thank you for your hard work and your efforts for giving us the best during our stay.

Room tip: If you don't like the hustle and bustle of the road, opt for room with mountain view.

Why mixed feelings? First the pros: large room, good view (backside), cool shower, price and good location. The cons: cleaning could be better (especially the bathroom), airco doesn't work great, no elevator (room on the 4th floor), the pool was almost warmer than the outside temperature and when we wanted to use the scooters we rented at Haleeva to move our stuff to the next hotel, they wouldn't let us.
So: the price was right, but won't stay here a second time.

On our week-long trip through Thailand, this was hands down our favorite hotel to stay at. We booked online and check in was a breeze, the front desk staff was so kind and welcoming and let us keep our bags in a locked room (we checked in early) so we could go explore the town.

The hotel is perfectly located and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Our room had a gorgeous view and was clean and well-appointed.

The best was the pool and lush outdoor view and area - some of my favorite pics are from there. Hearing the wildlife and bird calls was amazing.

There is a Mosque down about a block and in the early morning there is a call to prayer which I don't think you could hear from the hotel - we were up that early to go walk around (when the streets are quiet - there are only random dogs and chickens that hour!) so it was so lovely, andI doubt you could hear it from inside a room unless you're a super light sleeper.

A convenient location, budget friendly, incredibly kind staff, clean, nice rooms, and gorgeous scenery - this hotel can't be beat.
