Review of Apasari Krabi
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 24 Sept 2012via mobile
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The rooms are very clean and spacious. I am particular about dirty toilets but this hotel has one of the cleanest toilet amongst the hotels that I stayed before. The only setback was the wifi signal. It is extremely weak sometimes none. I could not log in during my stay in the hotel.

We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights, during wet season. The room is very clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable. Every room has a balcony, making the room bright during the day. We enjoyed the swimming pool also, the hotel staffs cleaned it everyday.

We stayed here for 5 nights, the hotel was clean, spacious rooms all with balcony. Friendly staff and a good location, far enough from the main strip not to hear all noise but close enough to walk to. They have a good pool to dip in after a hard days work on the beaches and islands, but it only has a few lounges and they ae not in the sun for very long.
Don't bother going to Krabi night market, not worth the tuktuk fare, if you go then use bus. They did have some great food to try though.

Room tip: Ask for a pool access room if you don't mind being next to the pool.

Highly recommend this hotel for any couples who are looking to stay in a nice hotel. The rooms are huge (we were upgraded for free to a deluxe room at check-in) and our room had a nice balcony with 2 chairs looking over into the pool area. Unfortunately while we were there, the pool was broken and we were not able to swim in the pool. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main strip and beach, but there are many tuk-tuks hanging around the street so it is a simple ride if you decide to go down that right. There is also a day food market about 5 minutes away (waling towards the main beach) that has decent food for very reasonable prices (20-40 baht per dish). And the beds here are very comfy, some of the best sleep I got in Thailand during my entire holiday.

We stayed here for a few days. Room is very basic but clean. Bathroom is dark but well equipped - you have a choice of shower and bath (no hairdryer though).

Towels are very rough and not enough of them and there was only 2 of us. Bed was hard and blankets very thin and rough.

Air conditioning good once left on for a while but requires the key fob to be in the room at all times to operate.

Has a small fridge which is turned up far too high. Every can and bottle we put in there - turned to ice so when opening the drinks - you lost half the can each time as it used to almost explode. There are drinks there for you to buy but they are far more expensive than the little shops down the road from the hotel.

Had to ask for the free Wifi code as was not given it at check in. It's like they didn't really want to give it you for free. Check in was pretty quick and they let us check in early (no problems) and when we were leaving our flight wasn't until 7pm so they let us stay in the room until 4pm (no charge).

Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Some staff's English was not great - so be warned. I ordered food near the pool and almost ended up with it twice as 2 different staff took my order and they could not understand what I was asking for and why I didn't want to order it for a 2nd time. Prices were reasonable. I had cheese salad sandwiches with chips for 150B so about £3ish.

Breakfast selection - a bit poor. Restaurant not air conditioned so did get a bit stuffy in there - especially with all the food still warming. Not bad if you just want cereal, juice and toast.

I don't think I would stay here again. We ate in the Mercure hotel - just down the road from the hotel (about 2 minutes) and that is much nicer - so I would recommend that one instead.

Room tip: Ask for the free 24 hour wifi codes upon check in Buy your drinks from the little shops near the hotel instead of using them that are supplied in the room (much cheaper)

Really nice hotel with a good location in Ao Nang. The only negative thing was that some food in breakfast was cold. Nevertheless, I would visit this hotel again.
