“Honeymoon in paradise”
Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

We came to Thailand on our honeymoon and spent a few days in Bangkok and couldn't wait to move on. We found paradise just a few clicks away and hey presto night bus from Bangkok and we were here. A bungalow rite on the beach facing phuket. The views are amazing. The staff are the friendliest people I have ever met. The place is spotless even the beach gets raked daily to remove washed up branches and so forth. The food gouge restaurant is easily the best we've had so far. What place. Use it as a base to see all the islands or just to sit and chill. We are already planning our next trip here.

Me and my fiancé stayed in the private villa at pine bungalow for 1 month and looking back at whole experience it really was a lovely one. The sunset is breathtaking, the food to die for (best I've tasted in Thailand so far), couldn't be closer to the sea, lovely hammocks on the beach and most and foremost Pan! He works as a all in all man at pine bungalow and will go out of his way on every occasion to make sure you have all you need. Nothing is to much trouble and always with a smile on his face.

One tip if you plan to stay here - don't forget your mosquito spray!

This is a secluded retreat for the peace and quiet lovers. The food is some of the best I have had in Thailand.
A big thank you to one staff member who made our stay so comfortable - Pan, you are one of life's true gentlemen and it was a true honour meeting you..........I'm sure you make everybody feel exactly as we did :-)

Room Tip: They all do what it says on the tin

Small and basic rooms, but one of few places that you can stay right on the beach. Beach is somewhat remote and roughly 30 minutes or so from Ao Nang by motor bike. Photos of crystal clear waters for any beaches in the area all photo shopped or taken 30 years ago. Unfortunately, nearly all of the coral are dead and snorkeling at any of the islands nearby is a waste of time and money. The food at Pine Bungalow was very good. Since there is nothing really nearby, its a huge asset to have a nice kitchen at the hotel. Most of the staff we came across were nice with the exception of one. We had the cheap room with the fan and it was pretty difficult for me to sleep with the heat. The beds are extremely hard and another reason why it was difficult for me to sleep. Despite some of the negatives, nothing beats staying on a secluded beach on the cheap!

Great basic rooms right on the beach. The food is fantastic.. I still crave the coconut curry and cashew stir fry :) Spent a few nights here and would recommend. Do not take the bus they recommend back to Bangkok though... The ride took an extra 5 hours then it should have as they drove us to random spots and made us wait for unknown reasons ... Then dropped us in khao sahn road at 4am..book your own.

This was one of the last places we stayed on our holiday. We were here for three nights and it was a good time to wind down and really relax. We took walks into town and around their private beach, as well as other nearby beaches. They had hammocks on the beach which provided an optimum place to read and chill out for the day. Also the restaurant was really good and normal prices for Thailand with a meal 60 - 100 baht. ($2 - 4 CAD). The only thing I wouldn't recommend is using the shuttle company that they suggest. We booked it (500 baht each) to Phuket, and had the worst transport experience of our lives. (All other times during the trip were excellent and cost much less). The bungalows were small and clean, we didn't go for air-conditioning and just had a fan which was totally sufficient. I would return here again.

Room Tip: Do not book with the shuttle company the hotel offers as the easiest. The trip took over four hours...

We spent there 5 days although we wanted only 3 ;) We had a bungalow double room with bathroom and fan. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and it's really close to thea sea. It's calm, because it's far away from the city (we liked that) and the stuff is great - they're helpful with everything, you can rent a scooter, take a taxi, take a boat, organize a trip. Great atmosphere and food - the best Thai curry in whole Thailand.
