“Best beach in SE Asia!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2011

Well, the best I've been to at least. And it is a few minutes walk from two other beaches which are very different but also great to look at.

Phra Nang is different because it has a huge karst which overhangs from the entrance to the beach on which rock climbers try out different routes all day. It has large cave systems on each end of the beach and beautiful sand.

Best bit is that you can only reach here by boat. No road!

“Best Beach On Railay Peninsular”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2011

This is easily the nicest beach on railay peninsular. Others have said it is busy, which it is, but this is mainly the afternoons. Go before lunch and its pretty quiet. Its by no means busy by the standards of some UK beaches! You get there on a path from the bottom of east railay beach.

There is a little bit of coral around the rocks at the left hand end of the beach for a little bit of snorkelling. Happy island can be swum to pretty easily, its also remarkably shallow near happy island even at high tide.

At the right hand end of the beach there are some caves you can explore.

Watch out for monkeys otherwise they'll be off with your food.

“Beautiful, but still crowded”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2010

Love this white sand beach. It's fun because you can watch the rock climbing on your left and if you need shade it's there.

This is far from hidden, but by far my favorite beach in Krabi.

“It's a beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2010

Why people go over the top is beyond me. It's a beach. It's small. Clean enough but judging by some of the posts, it was like a lucky find. It's isn't. Nicest of all the beaches on Railay but that should say something.

“Don't tell anyone”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2010

Phra Nang beach is also our favourite. We are due to get back there in May this year & it is so beautiful because not too many people know about it yet. If you tell everyone, it won't stay beautiful for long. (Only kidding .... or am I?)
