The Phra Nang beach is a must see if you are on holiday in Thailand. Before leaving I had read that this is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and I expected to find a postcard sea. Instead, what most delight is the location, not the sea. The water in fact is not spectacular because there are so many tourist boats that arrive there, as the beach is only accessible by sea Please join. Lovely view from the viewpoint. Recommend going early in the morning because there is high tide and because there are not many tourists. Do not bring food because the longboat find food and drink and great drink shake. BEWARE OF JELLYFISH!!!!!!

Nice beach with nice view on limestone cliffs. A lot of peopleare coming here in the afternoon as it the last step of "4 island tour" proposed at Ao Nang.

If you are hoping to find beach paradise anywhere near Ao Nang, think again. We have just returned from a "Four Island" tour, which included this beach and others. Phra Nang was the best beach but be warned that even in low season these areas are very heavily populated. There are boats anchored everywhere, crowds of tourists shouting and screaming, and not a moment's peace. There are probably some less busy beaches, but be prepared if you come to this part of Thailand to fight serious over-crowding.

Among all other beaches around Ao Nang (Ao Nang itself, Railays), I would vote Phra Nang as my favorite. It's only 25 mins away from Ao Nang with long tail boat (and 100 THB return, so cheap). It's pretty crowded in the south, and quiet in the north. They have some boats selling food (burgers etc), so don't worry about feeling hungry, you don't need to bother bringing food from the land. Really the cave was not a wow factor for me, but the view of the beach and small rocks (or islands) around Phra Nang made the visit worthwhile.

Railays (East and West) are also near from Phra Nang. It's only 1 km away from each other. So basically you can take a boat ride to one of these beaches, take a short walk around the beaches (there is a paved way between the beaches, it looks like a private walk to a hotel, but no, it's public walk) and take a boat ride even from a different beach than where you were dropped off.

Although it's very beautiful in the morning and around noon (the clear sky, water, sand and brown rocks with some plantations here and there, oh so beautiful), it's also beautiful in the afternoon. Just remember that the longtail boats only serve until before 6 pm I guess, so don't be too swayed by the beautiful view.

Lovely sand and no sunbeds or umbrellas so buy a beach mat and get there early to get a spot under the trees. It is visited most of the day by people on boat trips who walk along to see the cave. The boats are noisy but it eases off around lunch time. No restaurants on land but boats provide take away food. Spectacular limestone scenery on boat trip to get there,
