We thought we would try this place what a mistake, we ordered red chicken curry and they brought out green curry, we ordered a total of 4 meals and they only brought 3 meals out,20 mins later they brought the other meal out after the other meals had been eaten, talk about lost in translation.....

Like the other Irish pubs in AoNang, this one has no personality and no atmosphere. There was no music playing, no smiles from the staff and no other customers. We were there for dinner though left before the 'entertainment' was scheduled to start.
All ordered meals that would be standard in a pub. All reported as 'fine', and fairly bland. Waited an exceptionally long time for the garlic bread, which arrived after we'd finished eating main meals. Definitely worth waiting for though- excellent garlic bread!

Won't go back.

Thank Elle W

Though you wouldn't expect it based on the alley you've got to go through to get here, the Irish Rover is a quality drinking and eating establishment.

Twice we've gone there for different meals, and the quality and value was pretty unbeatable, unlike most of the restaurants in Ao Nang. My wife had the roast chicken, which was really good, and I had the chicken with basil/chili--very well done indeed.

They have some live music that depending where you sit isn't really too loud. The staff is courteous and friendly, something you're more likely to find in the Muslim part of the beach.

A bit hidden up a road when coming from the beach, but worth a visit for their Irish style pub, the beers and the live music

An Irish gal travelling with us joked that her people are taking over the world -- not by invasion but by infestation of Irish Pubs. LOL. Personally I find it comforting as whether you are in Thailand or Timbuktu that you'll happen upon the ubiquitous Irish Pub like The Irish Rover. Good ales and food and service it was a pleasure to come in here for a pint of Guinness. Cheers!
