“TRANQUILITY IN THE MIDST OF HUSTLE AND BUSTLE”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

I enjoyed my stay at Tipa. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and quite charming - my late night antics with outside guests was no problem. I had a main room with sea view which was at the top of the resort so a bit of a walk - no problem and they have a buggy service if you have mobility issues. The room was fine enough, albeit could do with a refurbishment, If found the bed and pillows fairly hard but that is probably my personal preference. The resort is situated in quite dense woodlands which results in a cooling and peaceful environment with lovely flora and wildlife. Obviously there will be lizards, mosquitos and so forth - quite a few naughty squirrels also! Breakfast is standard fayre - no better, no worse than I have had in Thailand (they are all much of a muchness).

I think a big let-down of the hotel is lack of wi-fi / internet (although this is available in reception). I note there are plans to have this installed throughout and I cant really understand why in the this day and age it has not been done by now - the cost would be minimal with the return in terms of customer satisfaction huge. I would not stay here again until this is done.

Most disapointing and overpriced hotel ever... Meant to have free wifi in room, bathrobes, LCD TV, hot water, and a double bed... Has none of the above.... NEVER STAY AT: Krabi Tipa Resort. They lie and do not try and offer any type of help or even apologise for the inconvenience... The most expensive place we have stayed on the whole trip (meant to be a nice little treat) an has been the most disappointing thing I've done in Asia

Stayed here for 3 nights, rooms was nice and spacious - TLC needed to the grounds as it seems a little over grown. The pool was a nice size, and the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the beach. There are many shops and restaurants around the resort. The staff was all very friendly. Breakfas was pretty basic but over all a good stay.

Stayed in the bungalow for 3D2N, I wouldn't say the room is fantastic but acceptable. The beds are tad too soft. The room is surrounded by trees and plants, so you are indeed back to the nature. Walking back and forth the room to lobby isn't too much of a hassle. If you can't handle that, request for the buggy service.

Buffet breakfast has limited spread and cold food. Perhaps the warmers were on strike :-)

The great thing is, the location of the resort is great....within walking distance to restaurants, beach, shops and 7-11.

Unfortunately, there is no WIFI in the bungalows *shucks*

Check in was fantastic, reception desk is outside, they had us sit down and gave us a drink while they ran around getting paper work. We booked the cheapest room which I was thinking was an inside building but I think they upgraded us to a cottage or Villa which is right beside the check in desk. (rather then a room in the main building I believe we were suppose to get though they didn't saying anything specific). The hotel is not great is you can't walk up a little hill or go up a flight of stairs. But the room we had was big, a little dated. The AC only goes on when the room key is in the socket inside the room. The room key is a physical key so not great if you have multiple people needing in and out. The beach is a 5 minute walk, lots of restaurants and bars and convenience stores just outside the entrance to the hotel. Loved exploring the beaches and everything the area had to offer. I read people complain about mosquitoes, though we only say 1 in the room but it might have not been the rainy season. Breakfast was great - I will come back to this place, l had a wonderful time
