“Wonderful experience!”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

I had pre-planned with the resort on my husband's surprise birthday getaway! My husband only knew where he was headed to when we got on board the plane. Upon arrival at Krabi International Airport, I ordered for an airport pick-up & arranged with Michel (management from the resort) to customize the signboard stating "Welcome to Your Surprise Birthday Holiday!" which was very helpful of them. On top of that, they made it even more memorable by upgrading us to a larger room (with a gorgeous view of the sea) from what I had initially booked for. It did not just stop there. On my husband's actual birthday, they brought up to our room a birthday cake & it surprised him (which we shared with them since it was just the 2 of us). Overall, customer service & guest experience was just great!

As for the room, we got the Larger Room which was just sublime (again, especially with the view right smack in front of the sea). It's a very modern hotel where they provide every room an ipad which acts as a device for any room service - food orders, clothes press, room cleaning, info about the hotel/krabi's attractions, etc. It is of course available for guests to use for surfing.

The room had relatively high speed wifi connection except when there were thunderstorms & connection was down (as well as the cable tv).
The location of this hotel is very central - walking distance to everything. The guest relations were extremely helpful in directing us around the island & provided honest opinions about shops/restaurants. Breakfast was not bad, but I guess the spread could be better - they served both Thai & Western breakfasts.

Thankfully we had a great & comfortable room since we stayed in it most of the time - we arrived during the monsoon season & it just poured every day we were there for 4 days (thankfully, except on my husband's birthday!).

It was a very comfortable stay and we will definitely pick this hotel again the next time we head to Krabi. Thanks, L Resort!

We stayed here for three nights and found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
The owner seemed to be a nice fellow and the breakfasts where fine with freshly cooked in front of you omelettes and pancakes as well as many other pre-cooked items.

We had a bungalow out the back and where quickly disappointed.
The room smelled of mould and cleaning product and made it hard to sleep and woke up all stuffy.

The toilet also backed up with something quite disgusting that was not from our room.

The next day the owner was happy to give us another bungalow which didn't smell and the toilet seemed to work fine.

The gardens had lizards and frogs that croaked at night and made a great ambience that made you feel like you where in the jungle.

The pictures on the advertising and Internet do not correspond with the actual so called resort.
It was like an Internet dating site when someone has a picture up when they where fit and 21 years old only to find out they are a 40year old fat mother of 8.

The place is run down and needs maintenance.
The decking around the pool looks like it was made with off cuts of timber and had nails popping out all over the place and not nice to walk on.
The pathways around the place where slippery and dangerous in the wet.

The bathrooms where ok, with a great supply of convenient products, like sewing kits, toothbrush, comb etc.
The tv was on the blink for one day but I think it was the cable company doing maintenance and not the resorts fault.

The place reminded of somewhere you would have a school camp or backpackers would stay at and not factual to call it a resort.

It is very close to the beach, shops and extremely close to the nightlife which you can hear from your bed.
It wasn't an unbearable stay, but would not stay there again unless it was cleaned up.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and were very delighted with our stay. We had originally booked the Lite bungalow but we were upgraded to the Large room. The hotel manager and staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good - there's a selection of eggs, pancakes, french toast that are made to order. Shops are literally right next to the hotel. It was fantastic! Thank you Michel for the upgrade!

Room Tip: I highly recommend staying in the Large room if you're a couple. It's really spacious.

Stayed 10 nights in this hotel in May.
We were very satisfied with the facilities and the staff.
Had a bungalow facing the pool with a nice porch.
Room was clean and the service was great!
Thanks for a lovely time!

If you ever go to Krabi look for this resort. Freindly staff, resonable rates and nice bungalows. Not too many but these are well equipped. Pool is small but clean and well serviced. I enjoyed my stay and can recommend the place.

Room Tip: Do not go for bungalow 004 or 005. These have a view to a small parking lot (only hotel staff cars).

Price was good, location was great; right across the sea and right smack in the middle of Ao Nang's most happening street. The people are friendly and helpful, rooms are complete and comfortable. They even provided an iPad with their own app for each room to surf the internet, look for directions through maps and many more! Wifi access was available almost everywhere except for blind spots. If I had to complain about something, it would be that their swimming pool only opens till 7pm and their breakfast buffet spread was nothing to shout about. but then again, i heard that it was not expensive (mine was inclusive). Definitely a good choice if you are not on a backpacking budget and want a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Was booked into L Resort recently for a short trip, after much rave about it.
However, it was a bit of a disappointment as I have deem it to be a Luxury Branding name.
But still not too bad, location was great, it is at the start of the famous Ao Nang Beach.
Lots of stalls and shops just outside Resort, you can just step out and then there you are!
In the middle of action with food, shopping, massage etc.

Owner of Resort was also a great guy! Very friendly and offer very good services too.

Rooms was big, clean and comfortable. It even came with Coffee machine with free capsules.
Ipad was given to every room guest, it was great to be able to surf via wifi on the move.

Breakfast was so so... not a lot of variety and there are no cooking station for eggs etc.
It gets bored if you stay for more than 2 days.
Dinner was great as steak was awesome, usually packed for dinner with foreigners.

Overall ok but will try something else in future.

Room Tip: Choose Rooms near the poolside. Further in rooms are closer to pubs, can be noisy at night till wee...
