We are welcome by the front office management team, Mr Vicke, and also some refreshment with a lavender aroma towel. It is very plesant and nice to be welcome that way. The hotel is beautiful, and very convenient, and just 15 min walk to the beach. We booked superior room and we get upgraded to deluxe on the 2nd night we stayed due to the position of our previous room near to the bar across the street and it was noisy during night time.Other than that, everything is great ! food is great, service is great, people are very nice too. Will definately return to the hotel again the next visit to Krabi :)

We stayed in this lovely resort 2 weeks and here is our comments:
We booked the Deluxe Ocean Room few months advance, since the quests comments were such nice. We have been in Ao Nang few times before and we knew the location already. This trip was for our pre-honeymoon, since in Finland we often marry on summer...
We ordered a van from hotel to pick us up from Phuket airport and it worked perfectly and costed 2,500THB. You can probably find few hundred baht cheaper way, but we prefer this way, 500THB here and there... The driver was very nice and waited us on the airport as ordered.

When we came early on morning the manager was there to welcome us, which was really nice(more about him later). We didn´t get the room at that early hour since our room was occupied. We changed our clothes at the hotel and head to the pool. Even that the hotel was almost full there were sunbeds for us.

When we got to our room we were stunned... There were 2 swans made out of towels on our bed and the bathtub were half full water and with rose pedals... So nice!
There were many steps to our room which was perfect for us since we are bit out of shape ( = fat ). If you have bad feets, ask the room from lower floor. We were on top floor and the landscape was amazing. Worth every THB!
The breakfast was great. At Ao Nang the hotel breakfast is usually 50-50 comparing to Phuket or Pattaya. We couldn´t ask for more. There were american, european, asian... It´s enough! The coffee was great (we the Finns drink more coffee than any nation in the world). You may also order eggs, omellettes as you wish. So do order your room with breakfast.

The pool is not very big, but big enough. Even when the resort was full, there were always enough sunbeds. I was happily surprised about the prices that they had at the pool bar. Beer were less then 100THB, water 30THB, hot dog with fries at 99THB etc. Very nice! Wine is expensive in Thailand as also at pool, but we had a few chilled bottles anyway...

Once we ordered food to room and it worked perfectly. At the reception they understood english (finglish) nicely, not like some other hotels. It was delivered much faster than we though. Obviously the food was delicious:)

The sfaff at the hotel was very nice. Very polite and understood english. Sometimes especially on southern Thailand the "smile" is gone, but we had perfect service. I don´t wanna be served like "Maharadja" (over served).
The norwegian hotel manager Mr.Torgrim Viken is the best that you can have. He is farrang (not-thai), so he undrstand what we tourists needs from our holiday. Do ask him about advice for trips etc. Also if you are not happy with something, just ask and he will do something about it. He is 100% customer service man. I saw him at the pool and complain that the we would like to have candles to our balcony and in 5 minutes he bring me one.... Outstanding. Such highly motivated staff is very hard to find (welcome to my company!)
Only minus was the buffet... But I´m sure it has changed already.
Big, no I mean huge bonus is that they have their own supermarket which is not expensive. Even the locals shop there. Buy you water, beach mats(95THB), beer, snacks, tobaccos from there! As you know probably there are no sunbeds at krabi beaches.
As I read reviews today that someone is complaining street-noice from reggae bar etc. IMHO there was so little noise that if this bother someone, maybe better to go Koh Yum or some other no-electricity island. I feel that it´s very nice to have some of the best bars and restaurants in 200 meters.

If you want to have some "real" thai food just walk away from the beach at the same road. There is also some thai tailors at work where you can get your suites cheaper and better quality. For me, I don´t want support slavery or other not-so-nice things, I do not sponsor nepalese tailors on beach road. Which brings to my mind that the hotel has 10% service charge which is given to staff evenly. The hotel offers great bennefits for staff (2-3 meals per day, some healthcare, funeral money etc.). This is the kinda tourisms that I wanna sponsor.

We are sure to visit there again as soon as possible!!

We stayed here for 5 nights in Feb 2011 and a deluxe room in the rear building facing the pool with a nice view over the ocean and the rocky mountains (we got a free upgrade since the category we booked wasn't available). The hotel is a little old fashion. Breakfast was decent. Location close enough to walk to everything from beach and longtail boats to hundreds of shops, restaurants and massage stores. However, I'd not stay here again:
- the price was too high compared to the quality of our room and the breakfast
- wireless internet is 100 THB per hour! Come on, at 3900 THB per night for our room? And in 2011?
- Most importanly: there are several bars with live Music just across the street. They start at about 9 pm until 2.30 or so, very loud, every evening. The windows are so badly isolated that we could hardly get any sleep, not even with earplugs. Nothing you wanna have after an exhausting day!

We booked this hotel during low season and got a really good rate from the official vogue website. Highly recommend that ppl book directly with their official website as they offer additional perks (like free transfers to and fro, free drinks, discounts for meals etc.) at a lower price (have compared a lot and done my homework).

Room has a large balcony, LCD TV, is clean and the bathroom is standard with most things expected in a hotel. We're surprised as the room looks much better than the internet pictures. There are pubs opposite the resort but noise doesn't pose as a problem with the balcony glass sliding door closed.

Everything meets our standard. However, they can maybe consider having elevators in the resort for those higher floor rooms. We're lucky we got the 2nd floor as we have luggages with us (got to carry it all the way down the stairs). Staff has good service but needs to speak more fluent english.

We loved every minute of 4 days we spent there. Hotel is not located on the beach, but just a few minutes walking away. All street food is near by though.

Rooms are big and really nicely decorated. On arrival there were flowers and fresh fruits. Also water is being refilled daily. There is a nice jacuzzi in the bathroom.
