The food here was really nice. We ordered 2 "wraps" one chicken and one beef (shewarma, I think they're called) which the kids loved, mixed entree (hummus, tabouleh, babaganoush, feta salad, tomato and cucumber salad, another eggplant dip called mutable and sambosa) which was excellent, we also had the beef and lamb grill - both delicious, and we also had the hand made flat bread. Our kids are pretty fussy and they liked everything. Being low season, most things on the grill menu which were not available (like all but 3 things) so our first lot of things were ordered were not available. But we were not disappointed with what we ended up getting. Overall, this place was more pricey than other places around and the servings are not huge, so we ended up having to order more. But overall I didn't mind paying if the food tasted good. Pity about the service though - only 1 1/2 waiters on duty and not very friendly.

We ordered the mixed grill, we were told there was no lamb and he offered us 100 baht discount which we accepted, we when asked for the bill he charged us the full price and denied giving us any discount. I would not recommend this place as they clearly lied.

This is not your usual cramped, uncomfortable Aonang restaurant. It's very spacious. First time we had tried Egyptian food and it was excellent. Service was first class, Adam was a nice friendly bloke and sitting in the large cane lounges overlooking the main street while enjoying a red wine was a great way to relax after our meal. No irritating touting for customers as they walked past made this restaurant much more enjoyable than most. The fetta cheese salad was fantastic!

This place could be really good if they made anything that tasted nice. Out of the 4 vegetarian dishes that we had all were dissappointing. Not sure if perhaps the chef hates vegetarians but we gotta eat too! On the upside they do have shisha..

After eating too much Thai and Indian food, decided to try this place. Got a sort of veggie sampler plate, though they were out of several menu items, including even falafel and hummus! So my plate was three different salads: one undressed, with a scoop of a salty cream cheese billed as feta, one with a lemon dressing and fried pita chips (very basic fattoosh), and one tabbouleh. Bit of a salad overload. Two dips, one babaganough and one a sort of chilled tomato and eggplant stew which I didn't catch the name of. The babaganough was quite good as was the tomato dish, it does cost extra for pita bread. If I went back I'd probably just order a couple of plates a la carte such as fuul or dolmas. Service was rather slow as it was just one guy who got overwhelmed by a bunch of groups walking in. I think they're open later than most restaurants, probably a good place to chill with a group and have a shisha late in the evening. A bit expensive but if you're in need of having something other than pad thai it's not bad.
