Quite basic facilities, but nice. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating when we turned up as a large group without a reservation.

The food was good. Some had European most had Thai, and it was all good.

No frills but very nice.

We followed Trip Advisors recommendation and went to Ton Ma Yom Thai Food. It took us about 15 minutes to walk from our hotel in Aonang. The food was excellent. We had deep fried chicken in pandan leaf, red beef curry, pad Thai koung (with prawn), papaya salad and finished with sticky rice and mango. Every dish was to die for. Be careful with the papaya salad though, it was a little spicy. It was lovely to be served by happy and passionate staff. We love it so much we are booked to go again tonight. Very authentic.

We are locals and still we love this restaurant that offers authentic Thai taste. This is a family run restaurant with limited seats so book in advance. Waiting time to be served around 30 minutes which still considered an okay waiting time.

Ordered Goong Phad Nam Makham or fresh prawns in tamarind sauce, I must say it is really delicious! As well as clear tom yam soup, yam naaem, yam squid and etc.

However, the Bua Loi is not homemade I guess as the texture was like it is frozen dessert yet its coconut soup tastes really yummy, not too sweet!

If i am around the area i will definitely go back again!

Visited Krabi and Aonang around 3 months ago, nothing in Aonang really impressed us except this restaurant. I think this place deserve a review. As a short and concise review of this place, this place almost has all the ideal property of a good eating place:
1. good food
2. reasonable price
3. not-so-far, walkable distance from city centre
4. down to earth local ambience
5. polite staffs

Just pay a visit, and expect a good local dinner. Not bad, really not bad.

The restaurant was busy when we arrived but we were swiftly seated, the food we received was fantastic and the staff were friendly, one didn't seem so happy but once we had eat and complimented the food she seemed to smile, the portion size was brilliant especially for the price! I would definitely recommend this place!
