Poda is part of one of the four islands of the sightseeing tour offered by many travel agencies. Poda is the least beautiful and is certainly one that deserves less time. An island very crowded even though we did not find garbage as written in the other post. The beach and the sea were clean. The nature of these islands is still lovely and offers moments of true enjoyment of nature. The sounds of animals, flora and fauna give relief to the senses.
Recommend going there in the early hours of the morning, at high tide.
On the island there is a bar selling drinks and little food.

Wonderful place with white sand and clear water (as postcard pictures). Lot of colorfull fishes.
There is fees to access the island (national park). Normally reduce cost for kids.

Stunning island with clear water, white sands, and postcard perfect limestone rocks.

Once you digest the beauty of the island, you do notice sadly that there is a good amount of garbage laying around here and there. Rather than complain, do something about it and pick up what you can and take it back to your boat (no garbage cans on island except at the snack stand). I did that, and saw a few other folks doing the same. If everyone were to do this, there would be no garbage, or at least others would see this and perhaps be more inspired to keep this island and the nearby waters clean.

The long tail boat ride getting there was just as beautiful and as much of an experience as actually being on the island. I would suggest getting a traditional long tail boat just for yourself/couple/family rather than going on an excursion with a mass of people or taking a speedboat. It really gives you a feel of how local Thais may have fished or traveled. Amazing!!
