The hotel is quite nice and comfortable, within walking distance to the beach. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff is excellent - very service-oriented, with excellent English. And the girls in reception are very attractive as well :) Internet is not free, but the rates are very cheap. Tours were effortless to organize. The hotel gives a (very nice) beach towel. Rooms are large. Did not try the restaurant, but the street where the hotel is located is lined with tasty and cheap restaurants.

The negatives: some rooms (including mine) are worn, with uncomfortable showers. Hotel does not provide soap for some reason. Bedsheets were worn. And there were a lot of mosquitoes. (The latter is most likely due to location, rather than the fault of the hotel per se.)

Overall, I was satisfied, mainly due to the peaceful surroundings and excellent staff.

We have recently returned from an 8 night stay at the Ao Nang paradise resort (22-30 Dec).
Unfortunately we booked and paid for the accommodation months before travelling so we had no option but to stay here for the duration of the holiday.
The reception area has recently been refurbed and looks clean and modern, along with a friendly and speedy check in we thought the rooms would live up to the same standard.
However we were to be extremely disappointed.
Our room (superior) was small, dark and smelt of damp. It in no way reflected the pictures on the internet (see below). The furniture was shabby and worn, bed linen was okish, we were given 1 flat pillow each so had to ask for extra's and there were no bedside lamps!
The bathroom was just as big as the bedroom which was totally unnecessary. The shower head twisted to one side everytime is was turned on which meant the floor got soaked all the time, there were no hand towels or soap by the sink, the toilet handle was hanging off and the bathroom towels, well, they were once white and new but they are definitely not now.
The pool is tiny and has only 6 loungers along one side which were always occupied. The pool area itself was nice enough and the snacks from the bar were pretty good.
The staff were helpful and friendly. However, when walking back to the hotel one evening we found about 800baht on the floor outside the reception. Perhaps too honestly we handed the cash in to reception as we assumed another guest had accidently dropped in out of their pocket. I'm not sure how much effort the reception staff made to find out who's money it was but they certainly never mentioned anything to us again!
Thankfully we didn't spend much time at our accommodation as the beaches, bars and restuarants were so good, we would definitely recommend Ao nang but not this accommodation.

My husband and 2 year old stayed here in Nov '08 for 9 nights in total.
I booked directly with the hotel and they were very prompt in replying and they also organised transport from the airport to the hotel as well. We got two nights free with a promotion that they were doing at the time so it worked out at just under 1900Baht a night, then 600baht each way for transfer which is a bit pricey but as we were the only ones being picked up we didn't have the constant dropping off of other passengers and it was air conditioned and the van was clean and lovely inside.

We had a deluxe premium room which were newer and looked nicer on their website.
They were quite spacious with wonderful views to the cliffs and because they were at the bottom of the resort you didn't get many passers by so you could leave your curtains opened most of the day. It also has a lovely boardwalk to get to the rooms but are slippery when wet so take care.
I liked the walk down the path through the other cottage type rooms but I wouldn't stay in any of those as they seem quite small and dark inside. The room beside the pool would
be great if you had the hotel to yourself otherwise it's a bit on the exhibisionist side to stay there right next to the pool.

The pool was small but adequate as not many people used it. We liked it and it had a shallow area that my daughter could swim in and it was quiet and peaceful with those lovely cliffs behind it for a great view.

Even though we had breakfast there 9 times it didn't get tiresome. The staff were attentive and very nice and couldn't do more for you if they tried. They did have a problem with boiling eggs though and one morning we gave up in trying to get a boiled egg that was cooked after about the 4th time of sending runny undercooked eggs back. Other than that the selection was good and you could order eggs any way you liked and the breakfast area is behind reception and it's elevated and overlooks the rest of the resort.

We had room service a few times and couldn't fault it. We never saw anyone eat in the restaurant at night though when we went pass to go out for dinner.

A couple of funny things occurred too. We were given 2 towels in the room but there were 3 of us. When asked at reception for an extra towel we were told there would be a daily charge for it. So as the pool towels are available we just went and grabbed one of those each day instead.
Also construction work was happening at the time which was a bit annoying but I was aware of it when we booked. We usually left clothes drying on the front balcony and one morning notice my husband shorts had fallen down into the garden. Because it was difficult to get them we were going to pick them up on our way back from our day out. Well they were gone when we got back and after contacting reception and they looked into it with housekeeping no one had handed them in. Well they were extremely nice about the loss of them and gave us credit to use at the resort which we used toward room service.

The housekeeping lady was so very lovely. She did a great job each day and also made great towel origami. The day we left she gave my daughter some presents that she had handmade. A little wooden umbrella and a wooden fan. It was very touching and a sweet gesture.

I only have fond memories of the place. Of course it depends on which room you stayed in too. Defintley go for the deluxe premium rooms. A lovely spot to sit on the deck with a cool drink.

On check out we were told there was a credit card surcharge to pay. This is usually fine with me as it is happening at most places now, but I was not made aware of this beforehand otherwise I would of made other payment arrangements. They said we had signed the document stating we agreed to terms and conditions upon check in, but it turned out we actually hadn't, a stuff up on their part. So of course it was waived and we saved some dollars there.

All in all a good place for quiet for us as we spent quite a bit of time there with our young daughter. It is a good 10 minute walk to the beach but it is surrounded by heaps of restaurants, mcdonalds, mini supermarkets, food stalls so we didn't mind as the main beach wasn't much anyway and we went out on a few day trips to other islands.

So if you are after a nice secluded spot without too many frills of a 5 star resort this is it.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights this November. I've got to say that it's a costumer service orientated hotel. It's quite impresive how they treat you and how they makes you feel. Around it you have all you need, I fully recomend this hotel!!

i have just stayed in this hotel with my three other girlfriends and we were all very happy. The hotel is situated about 5 minute walk from lovely Ao Nang Beach,on the main road, where all the bars and restaurants are.The food in their restaurant is amazing, pool is beautiful, overlooking the huge lime karsts and the palm trees, its like a little heaven in the paradise :)
It will be hard to pick one specific thing ,i would say everything was just amazing. Bungalows are nice and very clean and the grounds around the hotel very well kept.
Staff is lovely, always smiling, always helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. Its efficiently run and most of all,it won't ruin the bank, its great for people who like comfort as well as backpackers on budget.
I will be back to Thailand next year and im cdefinitely staying there again !!
Oh,and you gotta try the hotel's Red Thai Curry with seafood.Simply delicious !!! :)

We stayed in Ao Nang Paradise Resort for six nights in November 2009. We have reserved our room from the web and upgraded it from superior to deluxe before arriving. We based our selection mainly on hotel price and location. We did not want to pay awful lot from the room we were not going to spend too much time in anyway.

We arrived on Friday evening got our room right away. There was a written announcement in the room about th reggae party next door. We would have noticed it anyway, since the noise was awesome! The room itself was spacious but had little storage room fo luggage. At least in our room voices from the next room carried over quite easily. Othervise the room was well looked after throughout our stay.

The breakfast was excellent mixture of some local favorites and basic breakfast items such as bacon etc. Selection varied from day to day just enough to keep things interesting. The staff made us feel like we were royals! Usually th breakfast kept us going until late evening.

The pool area was smaller than we expected but very clean with stunning views. We spent most of our time touring the islands nearby so the size the pool did not bother us so much. Anyhow it was great place to spend some time after a hard sunbathing day to take a refreshing swim and coctail or two.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful all the time.

Took some time to find this hotel squeezed in among all the other restaraunts and hotels along the main road. The first impression was dissapointing as the whole site was very claustraphobic with all the chalets very close together along a maze of paths. There was no garden to speak of and little privacy when sitting on the small verandah. Building work was in progress and there was very little parking space for our hire car meaning we had to park on the main road sometimes. We paid extra for a deluxe double room and although very clean and well tended it was cramped with little storage space. The pool was very small but very clean and the view across to the hills was impeded by a tall bamboo fence. On one night (a friday) there was some sort of party or rave going on nearby until the early hours and sleep was impossible. On the positive side the staff were very friendly and the buffet breakfasts were first class with lots of choice. We did not eat at this hotel as there was such a great choice of places to eat within walking distance. I would say this hotel is fine if you are not spending too much time there and just using it as a base.
