We had booked the basic room, but when we got there, it wasn't anywhere near the main hotel. It was down a long path, after passing the heat-spewing laundry room where the staff was busy washing and ironing; turned down another alley and the room was through a door on the left. Walked in and was overwhelmed by a horrible air-freshener strategically placed to obviously cover up some horrendous odor. The room was spacious, with two beds, but not a single window. It felt completely dreary. I went back to the office and upgraded to a room with a porch across from the pool for an additional $15 per night. This was a superior room in comparison. It was neat and clean and no odor. We weren't planning to spend much time in the room other than to shower or sleep, so we didn't require anything fancy, and this definitely wasn't. (Moral of the story is: upgrade your room). Hotel staff was very friendly and responsive (especially when we needed more bottled water). The location is a little odd, since it is tucked back from the main street, but it served the purpose and was fairly central. It was nice to be able to walk across the street to the sea with its beautiful view, although it's not a beach you would want to lounge on. A pleasant walk to get to the outdoor restaurants, lots of shops, great roti cart nearby. An american style breakfast was included - choice of fried eggs and bacon, muesli and yogurt, "panne cakes" with mixed fruit (which arrives with a single pancake on a plate, but really delicious), toast, etc. The best bananas I've ever had and wonderfully fresh pineapple. I would stay there again.

Stayed at Ao Nang Resort and Spa 1st April- 13th April 2010. Rooms are spacious, and have all that you need. We had a Beach/pool view great to watch the sun go down on the balcony at 6.30pm. Beach is a step across a small paved road/path. A nice stroll into the nightlife /shops and resterants. Breakfast were good, plenty of choice. Use the spa treatments if you fancy a treat!!! they were fabulous. Also had a massage near the pool are very good and half the price of the Hotel spa, Weather was hot around 30 in the day time had a couple of downpours. very humid at night, if we went again would perhaps go a little earlier in early March.

Facing the Andaman Sea and located right in the center of Ao Nang with a lush mountain greenery rising behind it and the Andaman Sea right in front. Sea Front Thai Resort, "The pearl of Ao Nang" is an exclusive resort, that offers a warm traditional,Thai atmosphere from the very beginning, nice and private and an ideal place to relax in the sun, sand, pool & sea.

The service at the reception was slow, yet the bar was efficient. Nice swimming pool where the whole family spent time during the heat of the day. Breakfast is included and the service was fast.

I wanted to write about this resort as the other two reviews are really bad & I stayed here & didnt think that it was any thing like the others have said.
I stayed in a double room a little bit away from the main hotel area but I still got the hotel breakfast & got to use the swimming pool.
The main rooms looked very good from what I could see & my breakfast was amazing, the pool was great and clean. The hotel is situated on the main strip in Ao Nang so perfect for getting everywhere.
I reccomend this place to you & it was fairly cheap, if you are on your own or dont want anything to lush ask about their cheaper rooms, mine was approx £18 per night with everything included.
