We stayed here as part of a small Thailand tour, set within its own grounds the hotel and areas are kept clean and well maintained but as others have noted on arrival being driven down a small back road to reach it does seem a little odd!

Staff are friendly, the facilities around average overall (three pools which were above average to be fair) and the location is central for Ao Nang beach.

We ate breakfast but no other meals and found the food to be ok, fairly simple but a reasonable selection, we weren't inspired to try the restaurant for dinner.

Seem to remember someone writing about the beds here being hard - very much the truth, Solid!!

Room Tip: 5th floor most likely to have a partial bay view

I stayed in a superior room for four nights (07/10/13 to 10/10/13). This was my first Thailand holiday and having stayed in two excellent tower hotels (Rembrandt in Bangkok and Centara in Chang Mai) the entrance was not impressive. It is down a backroad and looks small. Once checked in it rapidly became apparent that my first impressions were incorrect. This just what you want for a beach holiday with excursions in Thailand. It is a low level (about 4 floors) facility based around a leisure pool with large ensuite accommodation with lifts to every floor. It is hidden from the main resort. When you use the balcony or the pool area you can imagine you are away from everything but in fact you are about 50 yards from the start of the shopping and restaurants and 200 yards from the beach. Wi-fi is available for no additional charge in the foyer, and this is a great place to catch up when you are waiting for trips or to chill out after a night out. Breakfast is limited but adequate. Get your washing done for less than £1 per kilogram and book fantastic trips at about £20 per day if you shop around. Top place.

Room Tip: There are ground floor rooms where the balcony has direct access to the pool; perfect?

My husband and I stayed at Krabi La Playa for 10 nights during August.

Our stay was more than accommodating, we were delighted with breakfast staff , they were charming and happy to engage us with conversation, particularly " Pond", and "Fon" (lovely girls).

Room: Clean, well serviced, comfortable bed, large shower

Pool: Great pool. We had booked a pool access room - never the less, there is ample access
to pools as there are three.

Food: There are ample restaurants within the the vicinity, particularly, street food, not to far from the hotel, cheap and tasty.

If you prefer a sit down meal, Kodum Resteraunt, go to reception (turn left) down the lane, you won't be disappointed!

Another restaurant we would recommend is Wang Sai (just over the bridge) have some whole fish delicious!

happy travels
