I loved this place. We'd seen the brochure pictures, had high hopes and were not disapointed. We booked a superior cottage, which had a firm bed as has been mentioned in several reviews but both of us slept really well. The room was spacious with lovely views over the pool and lagoon, large bathroom and a lovely outside shower. The water was a bit cool for my husband, but I loved it and used it all the time.

Our breakfast was included and it was a great spread in an open air dining room with views of the resort. With it being low season, the bar tended to be closed, but a rather canny bar next to the resort did take away cocktails at a reasonable price to take back to your room.

The staff were really pleasant and helpful and there were lots of small touches that made it special, such as sending the golf cart to collect us and our luggage on the day of departure and giving us new flower arrangements every day.

In addition it is in a great spot off the main road, with plenty of bars and places to eat, and close to the beach. We were only there for four nights, but we will go back and it will be for longer.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a cottage - it really is worth it.

I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect. The private bungalows, while in need of a spring cleaning, were in good condition and were very spacious. I loved the outdoor shower feature and private balcony. Because of the climate and environment expect a few bugs. We stayed during off-peak season and thought the hotel was a great value. I don't know if I would feel the same if I paid full price. Some of the amenities and common areas are a little tired and much of the resort is currently under repair/renovation. From our private bungalow we could walk directly to the beach (3 minutes) and right into the main strip of bars/restaurants in Ao Nang.

Room Tip: I would highly recommend the private villas on the lagoon. The rooms/bungalows directly opposite reception are closest to the footpath to the beach.

This place was very nice (in december 2009). Beautiful bungalows, nice little lake (with big lizards swimming around) and lots of green threes. Several pools. Close to the "city" and the beach. Great rich breakfast. We stayed in the supreme bungalow but here the beds were hard as rocks! Strange idea of a luxury bed. The newer part of the hotel might have more modern beds? Pay-per-hour-WIFI in the lobby that you might reach if you stay in a room close by.

Room Tip: Supreme bungalows had rock hard beds.

Having just come back from the Peace laguna resort i can stay it was great. From the day we arrived which was from Bangkok late in the afternoon we was welcome with a drink and told that we was upgraded to a deluxe bungalow and it was great only one thing that the beds are firm. Are room 2210 was right outside a pool (which seem private as there was not a lot of people there). Breakfast was very good the usual eggs, fried scamble or omlette. Our friends had a problem with there air condensing and they give them a free meal in the hotel and also free massarge. Go to the beach which is only 2 mins walk if you are at the back of the hotel and have your massage its only 200 bahts. Beers are 100 bahts and wine 150 bahts and food would come around 600 bahts for two people in the hawker rest. (local at the end of the main street). The hotel in central with all the shops at hand.

Without doubt we enjoyed our family stay at Peace Laguna Resort. In places it is showing it's age, a few knocks here and there, so if you are looking for "perfect" 5 star there may be other options. But value for money we give it 5 stars.
Our room was a private villa style located on an island created by the lagoon. As it was low season and very few guests it seemed as the pool in the centre was our own, on very few occasions did we share with other guests. The villa had a verandah over the water with a view of the towering mountain behind. The perfect back drop and ideal place to quietly sit watching the sun set with drink in hand.
The outdoor rain shower was a highlight, it will be hard to stay anywhere else without one now!
Set in the valley surrounded by gardens and lagoon, off the main strip of Ao Nang the resort seemed miles from anywhere, only a short walk out the back gate to the beach or out the front to the shops.
The setting is peaceful and serene. With all the water around plus wet season we thought we may be over run with mosquitos but it was not a problem.
Service was great, breakfast were plentiful and varied. (other comments have been referring to the lack of choice and quantity, we had no such issues. Maybe if the resort was at capacity service may struggle) The staff were helpful and very friendly, they certainly made us feel welcome.
Peace Laguna is well worth considering for a relaxing holiday.
