I personally am not the uber backpacker. I'll travel around and travel with one bag, but I'm a professional in my daily life. Thus to say, if you are the back packer party type you might like the place. I'm in my mid 30's and maybe a bit more boring than those who would be ok with this place. Stayed one night and then left. If you are into the hippy hangout (or like extreme rock climbing and hippy stuff) this might be up your alley. It is definitely off the beaten path if you compare to phuket. I prefer amenities and comfort. I can see someone giving this place a 1 star review, but you should really know what you are getting to yourself into by going to a place like this. It was recommended to me by a much younger acquaintance. I can see the appeal of getting off the grid, but it's not for me. If you are into that kind of thing you will probably love it.
