“Very nice little break”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

Stayed here for two nights. Must say myself and my girlfriend had a very nice and relaxing weekend. From when we arrived the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was generally clean but found stains cushions on bed and the decor was a little miss matched as regards wardrobe but everything else was fine. Staff went out of way to give us a new television when we found that our original wasn't working. Breakfast was very nice and once again went out the way to make sure everything was to our liking. Bar was very nice and warm and real log fire adds to the atmosphere. Felt the drinks were a little expensive we only bought a vodka and coke and a pint of cider and that came to 7.20 ish which I feel was really quite expensive for only two drinks. Overall happy with our stay. Very nice little hideaway in the moors

On our way home from York and wanted to stay an extra night somewhere on impulse. Found this on booking.com and rang to ensure took dogs. Booked via iPhone and arrived 20 mins later! Really friendly welcome - dogs no problem in pub and rooms. What a find! Lovely pub with real fire very cosy and atmospheric. Rooms really cosy and plenty of space for two labs. Really good dog walks in the immediate vicinity. The highlight was the food - the tastiest food I have had in a long time. We were very impressed and will definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Moors Inn on 21st February and had a lovely stay. The pub was busy as the shoot were in for dinner but the service was great; attentive and efficient. The menu is relatively select with an emphasis on good local produce. Lots of game and the kind of dishes that stick to your ribs. Our meals were delicious; well cooked and presented. Very generous portions and good value for money.
Our room was comfortable and breakfast was a triumph. I would definitely recommend the Moors Inn either for a meal or B and B.
Appleton le Moors is very picturesque and a great base for walking in the moors.

Myelf my partner and our 2 german shepherd dogs stayed here for 1 night. The staff were welcoming & friendly. The room was clean and tidy and big enough for all 4 of us.
We ate in the bar at night and the food was amazing! the bar staff made a fuss of the dogs and brought them plenty of water,
In the morning the staff set us up a table in the bar so we could eat with our dogs with us.
We couldnt complain about anything here and would definatley stay here again
would recommend this b & b to anyone travelling with dogs.

We had a fantastic time at The Moors Inn - we were made to feel so welcome by all the staff. Food was out of this world and reasonably priced too! We took our dog and he was also made a real fuss off.
We will definitely be making this wonderful bed and breakfast a regular occurrence!

What a wonderful friendly pub and excellent accommodation. We were recommended the Moors Inn by friends who are regulars here and were not in the least dissapointed. The evening meal was really good and for those who have big appetites you will enjoy it. The selection of beers was impressive and breakfast was also excellent.

It also has a very large beer garden at the back which on a warm sunny day was ideal after a long walk.

This place is set in some wonderful countryside with plenty of lovely walks to take

Room Tip: Room 4 is really cosy.

From the moment we arrived to leaving the people at the Moors Inn were fantastic. The room was lovely, small but bags of character and very comfortable.
Meals are very tasty and the options are varied.
A woodburner in the main bar gives the place a real warm homely feel and the scent of the woodsmoke is intoxicating.
A brilliant place for a few nights break.
Big thankyou to all the staff.
ps. The beer's not bad either!
