This little Inn is fantastic. I stayed here with my daughter (8) and a gang of friends for the goth/halloween weekend in whitby. The inn is in a lovely quiet village and away from the hussle and bussle... about a 20 minute drive to Whitby. The inn is very clean and the food in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the suite, which was a bedroom with shower, a seperate lounge area and a seperate bathroom all with its own lockable outside door, it was lovely and a shame we only stayed for one night. The apartment was spotless and would definately go back again and might even take our little dog too... Thanks for the owners for a lovely warm welcome and a spotless apartment....

Chose The Moors Inn as it is dog friendly but whether with or without dog, it does not matter. The place is spotless and immaculately clean. It is an excellent example of how an Inn/Hotel can cater for different guests requirements without conflict.
The Moors is the only place in the village but as it serves great real ale and fantastic food, that's really all you need. It has a large garden at the back which itself backs on to fields. Great views. Fantastic walks from the pub or within easy reach by car.
The rooms (I was shown around all 8 of them as I will return with family) cater for the individual right up to a suite with living area. They are clean, modern and comfortable.
You can dine in the bar area informally or there is also a seperate restaurant. Service from the friendly and attentive staff was faultless and the meals were wholesome and delicious.
If you seek a base for the N Yorks moors area, then I can recommend this place.

The Moors Inn is typical North Yorkshire Pub/B&B. Small, friendly, good beer, good food and a good atmosphere. It is family owned establishment and you can tell it is when you walk in. It gives you all you would want and much more especially if it is your base for exploring the stunning beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors. The rooms are warm, basic but functional. The bathrooms are a good size and clean. The beds are doubles so if you like a queen size bed or larger then you will be disappointed. We found the bed to be too small for us but it was only for one night. The food in the restaurant was a mixture of home cooked fare or (to our surprise) a al-a-carte menu that offered a good selection of dishes. The over-all reaction of our party to the evening meal, was very postive and very enjoyable. The breakfast included cereal and a full cooked Yorkshire breakfast - eggs, bacon, tomatoes, toast, coffee/tea and plenty of it! One thing for certain you don't go hungry at 'The Moors Inn'. Parking is no problem. The position is great, Give it a go you will not be disappointed.
