“Great getaway!!”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

I took my family here for the weekend and they did not want to leave. We absolutely LOVED IT!! The room was clean to include the pool and all the surroundings. The hotel is located right next to the sea, and they even have an off-roading area in case you have your quad and want to have some fun. Customer service was outstanding and they were very attentive with all of our needs. It's not very far from downtown Ensenada, it only takes about 10-15 minutes to get there and that is because you have to take the street. There is no highway that takes you directly. We've stayed in downtown Ensenada before and we hated it because it was loud and we couldn't sleep so this time it was perfect. We had the nightlife and diversity from downtown, yet we were able to relax once we got to our room. Plus this hotel is so complete you can stay here the whole weekend and not have to leave at all. I highly recommend it!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great here. There is a slight price difference between the "pool view" a...

The property is on the outskirts of Ensenada. We arrived the Saturday before Easter Sunday with another family, and 5 kids, to a very busy resort. From the moment we arrived, check in, housekeeping, the groundskeepers, waiters and bartenders were incredibly helpful, accommodating and friendly. The rooms were large and clean with cooling A/C. We had requested 3 adjacent rooms on the first floor overlooking the ocean. The patios were large with clean Adirondack chairs and a table. There is a grassy area just beyond the patios where we played Bocce ball and were able to have an Easter egg hunt for the kids. There are wave runner and kayak rentals on the beach. The property is on a protected lagoon where seals come to eat, sleep and play daily. The pool area is clean with waiters at your constant service. Roberto, Miguel and Reno, were attentive and fast. The food was better poolside than in the restaurant!
Sandra kept our rooms clean and seemed always available with extra towels and a smile.
It was a relaxing place to spend Easter break.

Room Tip: All double rooms are located on the first floors and all king rooms are on the second floors.

Estero Beach Resort is a nice place to stay if you really want some peace and quiet but be close enough to busy Ensenada. It's clean and comfortable. We had a very large room with a view over the beach. It wasn't really that warm when were there so we didn't experience the pool or the beach. It's quite closed off from the people and town of Ensenada so if you want an immersion in Mexican culture this place isn't for you. If you are travelling back across the US border they can provide you with a "fast past" which if used properly can be a life-saver from the border queues!

Maybe we were not lucky but the place is very noisy when you're on second floor and that you've a large local family below you playing music.
This is an old construction that is not noise isolated.
The room smelt really bad, not dirty but very unpleasant smell.
I think the cottages that are a little far from the swimming pool are probably more quite.
View is nice and breakfast is good.

We stayed 3 nights at this resort and enjoyed it! The location had alot to be desired.....it's on the other side of town and not in the best neighborhood. But the resort is guarded so it felt safe. Our room was very nice, very clean. The beds were not the most comfortable and the sheets need to be replaced and upgraded. They were very rough feeling. The service was terrible! If you needed anything, you would most definately have to wait along time or call several times to ask but evenually, you'd get it. The beach area needs work. They could have a very nice beach if they gave it some attention. Now with all that negative, there were alot of positives. The atmosphere of the resort was wonderful! The restaurant had wonderful outdoor seating and the food was very good. There was also a wonderful Sunday Brunch! It was nice to be able to go for a walk everyday too. The pool was very nice, salt water, but still nice. All in all, it was a great stay!

Room Tip: We'd stayed in a Maya ocean view room and the outdoor patio was wonderful!

We stayed in RV park. We had problems with very low water pressure, if there was any and the sewer was plugged which we reported every day and were assured it would be fixed within the hour but nothing was ever done. One of the staff at the front desk said "Well I guess that is the way it is."

A park with nice amenities, like the hot tub and pool, but no one cares if you have any problems. We will never stay here again. There are lots of other options for a lot less money.

Some of the best beach front rooms i've seen. I saw dolphins, and seals often from the balcony in my room! Stayed in room 205 and it was very large and nicely furnished with newer decor. Could use a upgrade at the TV department but then who really goes to Mexico to watch TV. Also do yourself a favor and take a trip up to "La Bufadora" while there that first stand sells some amazing fish tacos!

Room Tip: All the rooms with the ocean view are great. Also saw a wedding while we stayed here and it looked a...
