“Old and dirty”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014 via mobile

We stayed here because , we thought it would be a great view.. Yup nice view.. But honestly won't stay there again.. Really out dated rooms, dirty , old . Our toilet was really close to wall and when you use it almost hit the wall with your face. We paid 80 a night , I'm sure there is better rooms for that price . Had a lot of ants everywhere, smelly. We won't be staying there no more!!

As first-time visitors of Ensenada, we wanted to make sure that we had the best views possible- staying at Villa Marina definitely achieved that goal. But despite its reasonable price, I cannot give a better rating as the hotel itself is outdated in every possible way.

The hotel is in a central location, within walking distance to many of Ensenada's famous points of attraction: La Guerrerense, Fish Market, Papas & Beer, etc. It has amazing views of the city and the port. But those positives cannot hide the fact that the hotel is in need of serious renovation. The room wasn't extremely dirty, but you can notice years of wear and tear from the mildew and rust in the restroom.

One note: the bar upstairs, Bar Navigante, is a nice place to pre-party before you hit up the clubs at night. The bartenders are friendly, and you get a 360 degree view of all of Ensenada- pretty nice perk while sipping on some Hennessey.

Overall, a decent stay at Ensenada with good views and rates comparable to other hotels in the area, but you get what you paid for.

I could have found a more upscale hotel it is true. But I want the view only offered by a high rise hotel. And this was it! The first night I spent on the city side of the Hotel, on the 5th floor. Watched the lights come on all over town, most of which has sprawled up three main hills. Church steeples as well as neon lights made for a vast scenery.
The next night I transferred to the other side of the hotel. and had a view of the shipyards, parks and dockage for the cruise lines and their ships.
While there was no coffee in the room, the restaurant downstairs was horrible, and the elevator is what it is, the view made up for it!!! in Spades.
My fond memories came from this town before they had highrises.
Wanted to add that this is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that had a contoured bath, the kind you can lay down in and read, comfortably. I did not use it, but it was there!

Room Tip: Get high for a stunning view. Bring your own coffee. Price is right

It is an dated hotel, the decor of the late 70's and the room pretty worn looking. I wasn't expected a whole lot, but was expecting the bathroom shower to be much cleaner than it was. Too much mildew and the room carpet didn't feel clean. One of two elevator (very small) did not land properely on any floor, something to watch for while entering or exiting and If you do not mind for an quick overnite stay, it may be worth it, but not the price they are asking for! $900 Peso for queen size bed!

Room Tip: Room facing the port area and on the 9th floor traffic noise can be heard even with sliding door clo...

It is an old hotel and one of the tallest buildings in Ensenada.

I was surprised by the night life of this small port of Baja California.
Surrounded by deserts and majestic mountains Ensenada is an oasis of fun and entertainment.
This property is located near the main tourist avenue and surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants.
Recommended for stays of 2 to 3 days

Room Tip: Ensenada is a tourist destination with much noise and movement on the whole weekend, choose a room o...

i like this hotel better than Hotel Corona and Senor Rey Sol across the street with the killer view and the bar on the 10th floor u will be amased but yeah is not a 5 star hotel thats is why is not that expensive . is just fits the price . im having a party this weekend like i always do i n every hotel and sometimes i get kick out but has nothing to do with the hotel haha everyone is welcome specially if u like to meet locals and u want to hang out in more places ..is good to know locals just so if u go there more often and u dont end up rob by the police or the hotel front desk. hit me up, we might sometime hang out in Cabo San Felipe or Puerto Penasco.

Room Tip: 9th floor ocean view or street view both are good.
