Perfect location in the Valle de Guadalupe, great food, service and the view is very enjoyable. the decoration is very adhoc with the location.

We just got back from a couple of nights in the Guadalupe Valley and ate at Finca Altozano our first night. It's a gorgeous property with stunning views--even at night with the stars and village lights. The food was very good--my favorite was the polenta--the best I've ever had. My husband had the quail, which was very tasty but also hard to eat with lots of very tiny bones. The bone marrow was alright, not the best I've had but I liked the fact it's served with hot corn tortillas. The grilled octopus was tender and flavorful.

Two complaints--they need gas heaters that actually heat, not just the kind of gas heaters that create atmosphere. We sat right next to the heater but it was really cold. I would not go back at this time of year. Also, the wine prices were out of line compared to the food prices. A glass of the house wine (small pour) is 100 pesos ($8) and a main courses are priced generally $10-18. We went to a different high-end restaurant the next night and they had several selections of wine by the glass (healthy pour) for 50 pesos.

This isn't in Ensenada, rather in the wine valley. We sampled about 6 starters which were all terrific! The entrees were likewise wonderful...especially the lamb and the chicken. It is a very eclectic place with sweeping views.
The six of us have traveled a lot and are pretty picky, but all loved this place. Make reservations and enjoy!

Fabulous restaurant in a beautiful, sleepy valley. The views were spectacular, and the food was quite good. Definitely try the sangria and something from the wood fire grill. Not to be missed when you're wine tasting in the valley.
