Melecon is the beach side promenade along Paseo Alvaro Obregon. There are wide sidewalks, art work, benches, and other attractions along the way. Across the street are many restaurants, bars, shops etc. While the area right in front of the shops can be a little risky with potholes and other obstacles, and a few friendly vendors inviting you in to their establishment, the beach side offers easy walking. It doesn't offer much shade or drinks etc. so for that you need to go back to the other side. Interesting area, seems to be the hub of entertainment. Taxis are found on many street corners. There was even a fishing competition one day we were there.

Is the heart of La Paz, has a lot of sculptures, shops, restaturants, children playgrounds by the beach, a lot of people jogging, on their bicycles, etc. The best moment to be there is on sunset where you can take the best pics you can imagine.

They had a mini carnival set up for kids the night we were there. Mainly locals - or maybe tourist from the mainland. Perfect spot to get an ice cream and walk along the waterfront and people watch.

The Malecon is a great walk in La Paz, on the water, good to watch the sunset. People watching, right in the middle of all the restaurants and sites.
