I only staid 2 nights, but was very pleased with the hotel. It is on the Malecon in a more quiet part of town with a great view of the bay across the street. Property and room was very clean and well appointed. It was unusually hot when I was staying there and they have the air conditioning set to only cool to a certain degree, which was not always sufficient. For the price of the room, I would have expected to be able to set the temperature how ever I wanted. The pool is very pretty, but more ornamental than useful, except for a quick cool down dip. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but not all spoke English. Breakfast was excellent. I did not have a car, so I walked everywhere. At the end of the day, in the heat, it was a long walk back to the hotel...but, cabs are always available. I was the only guest in the Posada while I was staying there. All in all, a gem of a hotel - but on the pricey side for La Paz.

Room Tip: Small hotel with only a few rooms - all seemed to be okay locations. Large suites on the 2nd floor...

I only stayed one night because I was in town on business but the hotel was pleasant with an nice relaxed Mexican feel - not modern or fancy, but the breakfast was great. The WiFi worked nice and the location is convenient to downtown. The "swimming pool" is more decorative.

Room Tip: Try to get an upstairs room.

We spent 8 nights here in February 2014 & it was wonderful. The location is exceptional on the outskirts of La Paz overlooking the beach with ample street parking. The staff were very friendly & helpful & we were made to feel very comfortable. The breakfasts were all cooked to order & there was a very good choice. The large balcony area with comfortable armchairs overlooking the sea was a great place to relax after a day out exploring the locality [ both before & after dinner ] If we are able to return to Baja Sur we will certainly stay here.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite if possible, especially if you are staying for more than a couple of nights.

We decided to book through Expedia after consulting Trip Advisor and we chose the Posada de las Flores La Paz. It was a fantastic experience and we had an excellent breakfast overlooking the ocean that was included. The colours just felt authentic and meaningful and accentuated the design and architecture. The charm of this place and the authentic art work and artifacts reminded me of our stay in Centro Historico Guadalajara. Quiet, safe and easy access to the city centre by foot or cab.

We decided to find out more about the Baja north of Cabo San Lucas on this trip. We used the local bus lines as we usually do. Modern air conditioned buses you ride along with the Mexican citizens. Once you get your bearings it is a great and efficient way to travel. We traveled via Todos Santos staying one night at the Hotel California prior to boarding the bus at the depot the next day and heading for La Paz. The highways are modern and efficient and like all modern Mexican cities they hold there charm of days past. A lovely small boutique hotel on the ocean front. The long and winding malecon is beautiful. La Paz is a quiet and tranquil part of Mexico and being the capital has its own history. Definitely worth seeing.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Posada. The view and location on the Malecon cannot be beat. Also, easy street parking.

The staff were friendly but completely lacked flexibility or the service level that you might expect for the price. The Posada lacks the level of formal service one might expect of a hotel and yet lacks the friendly and flexible air one often experiences at a nice B&B.

We will almost certainly be returning to La Paz; we will not be staying again at La Posada.

The Hotel Posada de las Flores is one of my favorite hotels in La Paz, Mexico. It is perfect to explore the city La Paz in Baja California. The position of the hotel is excellent, because it´s been built in a very central location on the Malecon, which is a quiet part of the city but not far away from the nightlife, restaurants and shops. If you travel to La Paz, Mexico, you should definitely stay in this hotel, because it is a beautiful paradise within the city - private, quiet and clean. The outdoor area is a wonderful place to have a delicious breakfast or enjoy a refreshing drink. On the roof of the hotel, which is decorated lovely, you have a stunning view to the ocean. As I already told you I would highly recommend staying here - from what I have seen in La Paz so far, it seems to be one of the best places to stay in the city!

We stayed for a week and loved the place. Excellent breakfasts, great location right across from the Malecon. We walked to most restaurants, farmers markets, and stores. We especially enjoyed the resident cat and the pelicans waiting for the fishermen across the street. The best beaches are further north so a rental car is very helpful. Take a day trip out to the island- we saw lots of dolphins, sea lions, etc.
