“Great environment, reasonable prices”
Reviewed 9 November 2012

This is a small place with 6 or 8 rooms. There is a sweet little garden with a fish pond. The rooms are on two levels with open air common sitting areas. The layout has an inviting feel. This is the only place I visited in Baja that has a washer and dryer for guest use. There is an outdoor area for drying clothing for people inclined to reduce carbon footprint (hopefully more and more people!) The cost is very reasonable. Everything is clean, pleasant and in working order. The location is just a couple of blocks from the malecon (waterfront) so it's convenient to lots of restaurants. There hotel has its own little restaurant that serves breakfast. By the way, in addition to being a hotel, Baja Paradise arranges outdoor trips (diving etc.).

I stayed here for 5 nights this week. This is a really nice and quiet B&B. I got a single room for 290 pesos/night. I challenge you to find a cheaper and comparable place in La Paz. I could not.

The rooms are very basic but they have split airconditioners (Quiet) and hot water. The place is interesting and has lots of small details. If you look carefully you'll see turtles, fish perhaps some fish bones that you'll recognize to.

They have a good dive shop with fast boats. I also dove with them. I think with 3 dives/day you can cover all the spots in 4 days. I did not get to go to La Reina.. perhaps I'll go there the next time I'm in La Paz.

Highly recommend this place for budget travelers and divers.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 1 as a single travelers. It is on the ground floor and it made it really easy for m...

This is a cute, low-key, family-friendly hostel located two blocks from La Paz's malecón (boardwalk). It's clean and the owners (Japanese/Mexican) are super accommodating. Not fancy (think 'hippie diving hostel') but it was spotlessly clean and the restaurant out front looked like it making tasty comida. Location is a lot better than than most of the highly rated placed on tripadvisor. The owners' kids were on the property as well (I think they live there), so if you're looking for a business hotel, this isn't it. Although it's on a moderately large street, it's set back and the neighborhood is mostly residential (though close to many, many restaurants).
