Just got back from our week vacation at Loreto Shores. The accommodations were great with lots of room and the beds were very comfortable. Not much to do on the site and it was about a 20 minute walk into town for groceries and restaurants. Although you were right on the water there was no beach to speak of, only the swimming pool. Everyone in the RV park was so friendly and very helpful. Nice place for a quiet relaxing vacation.
The condo is beachfront with a wonderful view of the ocean and nearby islands. It was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. As an added bonus there were paddleboards to use. It felt like we were visiting a friends condo. We would definately stay here again.
We had a wonderful 6 days at the Loreto Beach Oasis. Although the home slept 8 there was just the 2 of us. We woke up each morning looking out at the ocean. The owners, Violet and her husband were great communicators offering suggestions and ideas of what to do. RV owners on site invited us to be included in Christmas activities. There was a general feeling of low key friendliness.
The home itself is a sort of town home RIGHT on the water. We ate breakfast each morning outside watching the birds and surf. Ismael , the manager of the complex, could not have been more helpful. Anything we needed, he had the answer.
Loreto is a lovely town with tons of good restaurants. We were there when it was quite empty, which was fun as the locals were celebrating Christmas.
We'd come back again when the water is bit warmer as snorkeling was good, but chilly.
We enjoyed our stay, clean, roomy, quiet and bright. Didn't find it necessary to use air as lots of windows open with breeze coming off water. Would have like to have a bike option or paddle boards/life jackets even if we had to pay extra. Bike rental at one spot in town was $25 for the day, that's crazy. I would pay for the housekeeper to come in once during a we stay if we went again, not interested in cleaning on vacation. We had a few minor issues but passed that info on to the owners. We loved Loreto, not your usual busy vacation spot. Pretty laid back fishing village.
House 102 in Loreto Shores is the perfect place to greet the New Year - all the comforts of home, the beach at your door, friendly people around - what more could you ask! This is the second time I've stayed at Vi and Arnie's beach house and can not say enough good things about it. If you want quiet, cozy, safe, and close to everything, this is the best place to stay. Go to sleep with the surf in your ears, eat breakfast watching the pelicans and seagulls gather, walk the beach and collect sea shells, sit on the patio and enjoy the breeze...it's all right here! Or take a short drive into town, walk the plaza and visit wonderful shops - especially Baja Books! - and try wonderful food at any of several eateries...all less than 5 minutes away! You can't find a better place to stay in Loreto!
If you are looking for the perfect beachside getaway, this is the place. From watching the sunrise while savoring coffee on the patio to watching the birds claim their territory, the atmosphere is made for relaxation. The house is fully equipped with everything you need - towels in the bathrooms, cooking needs in the kitchen, a small library, tv if you desire, wifi, even a washer/dryer. The house is huge. The upstairs (my favorite place) can be a full-time retreat with 3 beds, full bathroom, two loveseats and a chair to relax in and enjoy the superb view of the bay and islands. The stairs are a bit challenging, but worth the climb.
Sitting on the patio or enjoying the lounge chairs on the sand is a perfect way to spend an afternoon or unwinding in the evening after exploring the town. You will see seagulls, cormorants, pelicans, sandpipers, and a few buzzards, as well as an occasional shark drifting by.
The people in the nearby dwellings are friendly, quiet, and willing to stop and chat for a while. Loreto has made my list of must-returns, and this house is at the top of the list.
