“Great hidden spot to stay”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

I have stayed at this place at least three times, the price/value rate is awesome, come on! a balcony right at the beach!!! It's not near a five-stars hotel, if you are an uptight-my farts don't smell-I deserve to be served-everything stinks-don't want sand in my sandals kind of guy... go some place else.
If you're coming as a couple or with a group of 8 to 10 friends and looking for a private, hippie-ish, surf-ish, great sunset, etc this place is great.

I have stayed in a lot hotels in a lot different cities, the rule is all charges up-front clarified, don't let them get on top of you... if you let them to rip you off... shame on you.

If you are looking for an affordable family get away...This is it! Our kids enjoyed the pool, the beach, restaurants, and shopping....everything within walking distance. The food by the pool was excellent and the weather was perfect this time of year. I highly recommend this getaway.

Room Tip: Plan ahead and get an ocean view

I love this place! There was nothing wrong with the villa that a little water and a wipe down couldn't fix.

Pros: It is on the water and you have a great view. It’s quiet. There are only 20 some Villas and ground floor. Everything in the villa worked (refrigerator, kitchen stove, and microwave). You are within walking distance to EVERYTHING!! It has security. They walk around the hotel grounds, inside and outside (on the beach). They have security cameras at just about every angle/corner. (For families with lots of concern) The beds, sheets and towels were FINE. The beds in the rooms were a little worn down, but they weren’t as bad as other reviews make you believe. Also, there is a grocery store right in front of it that is very convenient.

*They let you set off fireworks at 30 meters from your villa patio on the beach until 9 p.m. =)

Cons: Service at the front desk. When we got there she said that we weren’t charged any tax, because the rate was low and didn’t seem correct for a US holiday 3 day weekend. On my reservation printout it states city and tourism tax included. Once we corrected her and showed her she wasn’t happy and it became a nickel and dime thing throughout the wknd. Also, you only get 1 remote to control all the televisions. (Stupid)

FYI on the fine print (Fees):
When I asked for them to open the cupboard so we can use the plates, etc., they told me it was $20, even though it states everything included in our reservation. I asked if it was a deposit, she said no. She said it is a flat fee of $20, no matter how many days you are staying.

They give you bracelets that let you enter and it is for security purposes. If you lose it then it is $5 to replace.

If you lose the key to the villa, which is a regular hotel key card, then it is $10 to replace.

There was no Wi-Fi and when a hotel states Wi-Fi I expect it to work. She said she just got it in the office and the signal doesn’t reach the villas further down from the office, but once the tech guy comes in she will try to see what he can do. Four (4) days later and it never came.

They were remodeling the grounds and villas when we went and it wasn’t bad or anything.

Just FYI: It seemed like the villa hadn’t been rented out in a while. So all the sand that got in hadn’t been wiped down, and it hadn’t been opened to just air out, but it was fine, no major smells. The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable. (Which ones are?) Also, it has a BBQ pit on your patio.

Room Tip: It has a pool area, but we didn't make it out there. So I cant comment.
