We had never been to San Felipe and were excited to take our 2 kids and son's family (total of 8 people) to spend Christmas there. The best parts about it were access to the beach...just steps away, proximity to the Malecon, and a garage for our vehicle. It was also nice to have a shower in the garage for washing off sandy feet. However, I hope the owner will take the following comments as constructive criticism and make it better for future guests. The beds were stiff and uncomfortable and noisy! The showers are pretty, but without doors the water goes everywhere--they weren't built right for that type of opening. There is not a single towel or paper towel in the condo, which we knew ahead of time, but it wouldn't cost that much to just put some paper towels in the kitchen and maybe a hand towel in each bathroom. It would also be nice to have a doormat or something in the entryway to wipe off your feet; it was hard not to bring sand in every time we entered. The gas oven did not work properly; we had to actually light it to start it, which is dangerous. There were a few small pots and pans, but with a condo meant for up to 10 people, a simple pot to boil noodles and maybe a cookie sheet would have been appreciated. The bedroom closets are spacious and there is a small built-in desk; however, it would have been nice to at least have a nightstand or small table between the beds to put a book or our phone/alarm on. In December, the condo was freezing cold! We were told there was no heat and it was really cold the first night. The second night we tried the AC with the temperature just turned up higher, and that actually worked. We should have been told this was an option; the December nights are cold there. Also, we liked how the furniture looked in condo 4, which is the one we reserved; but we were put in this condo #5. The couches were not really good for sleeping on for our grandkids, but thankfully they did provide 2 air beds so that worked. My last complaint was the WiFi...nonexistent. We asked several people for the password, but it never worked. Well, we had a good time anyway, but I would only consider staying there again if the above recommendations were addressed.
