“Like in Italy”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

Ok, maybe I've never been in Italy but you gotta love the food. I highly recommend the sangria, it's really refreshing and tasteful but if you are not a good wine drinker you'll have just one cup to get a little tipsy. The food it's great and I can say my faves are the pastas (penne) and pizzas. The feeling you get once inside is really beautiful it's low lighted and obviously it smells great.

“There are better places.”
Reviewed 14 June 2013

Good food. No complaints at all. Scale of 1 to 10 I give it 7. I will definitely eat there again, if I am close by. Otherwise I'll try another place.

“Great Italian Restaurant”
Reviewed 29 May 2013

I have visited this restaurant many times with my friends and it has always been a great experience. The Sangría and the Pizza are a MUST.
the place gets pretty crowded on special ocassions such as Valentine's Day or some other kind of holiday so there's a waiting line every now and then.
I haven't tried the desserts, but the raviolis are really good, too!

“What a pleasant surprise!”
Reviewed 19 April 2013

I've lived in Tijuana my entire life and have probably passed by Vittorio's a few hundred times and never thought to try it until reading some of the positive reviews here on TA. I had to see if they were true and what I was missing....Oh, surprise! - Vittorio's is wonderful, a throwback to other times when most Italian restaurants looked like this and cooked like this, too. Red and white checkered tablecloths, maps and pictures of Italy on the walls, family pictures here and there, eclectic decor and mismatched furniture...some of the table chairs are actually office reclining chairs! Very comfortable for watching cartoons on the big TV screen while waiting for your food.

And what food...old world preparations like nonna used to make. The tomato sauce is made from fresh tomatoes, not canned, that are mashed by hand...no machines used! You can sure taste the difference. The pizza crust is light and fluffy and the tomato sauce is sparingly used; the cheese melts into an almost liquid deliciousness and the other ingredients (mushrooms and pepperoni in this case) are fresh and tasty. On the afternoon I ate there they had run out of the home-made tiramisu so I will have to return to check it out since all reports seem to indicate it's not to be missed. Lots of attractive items on the menu besides pizza including seafood, meats and pastas.

Service is attentive and prices are more than fair. There is liquor available. Rumor has it that on weekend nights there is always a line of people waiting to get in and I can understand why. Well worth a visit. When you get there, ignore the exterior appearance; this is definitely a book not to be judged from its cover.

Salad, 10"-Pepperoni/Mushroom Pizza, Diet Coke and Espresso = $19.00 dollars.
