Great style and incredibly comfortable accommodations, a place to loose yourself in the middle of the dessert. Spend your day by the pool, watch the sunset in your hamaca at the roof and enjoy the grilling at the open air or cooking and sharing your meals with family and friends in the wonderful kitchen dining living room area. Much more that you will expect for the price you pay.

Thanks Alex for all your tips and attentions. I will definitely will find my way back to your place.

We stayed at Casa Rancho for 2 weeks with our 2 young sons. The price when I made the reservations was so low that I wasn't really sure what to expect when we arrived. We were very pleasantly surprised, to say the least. The rooms are well equipped, charming, and very appealing. The grounds were beautiful, the location perfect, and the atmosphere was conducive to a fabulous vacation. We met some other families and our kids all had a great time together. The set-up of Casa Rancho makes it easy to share meals with others and have as much or as little privacy as you would like.

We rented the casita that had its own kitchen and not an actual bedroom. I would recommend this for a couple - not a family. The two side-by-side rooms, each with its own bathroom, to the west of us is probably the best bet for a family. These rooms share a large, beautiful kitchen/lounge.

There is another large kitchen/lounge that is shared by another group of rooms. If you don't mind sharing a kitchen - this is really the way to go (in my opinion).

The way that Alec has arranged the rooms would make Casa Rancho ideal for a family reunion type vacation. We are already thinking of proposing it to our cousins.

This is a safe, chill area with many dining, beach, activity options. Alec is great at giving recommendations for whatever you are looking to do. He also has bikes, boogie boards, fins, BBQ available for use.

Stop at Costco on the way from the SJD airport for some basics, but there are many "mini supers" nearby with tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade tortillas and bread, etc.
Take a fishing trip with Lee (Alec can connect you) and you'll have more fish than you can eat and share.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Rancho. Alec had give us directions and we followed the squiggly written signs to the place. It is a lovely place surrounded by a wall and fence and had a "carport" for the car if we wanted it. As 2 adults and 2 children this place was perfect for us. Once we drove their it was not hard to find even at night. It has a nice pool to cool off in and a great patio above the garage, this is a perfect place for morning coffee or a drink and watch the sun go down. The style of the place captures the essence of Todos Santos but is not lacking in comfort. I rooms are tastefully done and the color of the plaster on the walls was by true Artisans.
The kitchen/living room with a layered palm roof was a real treat. The gas stove was great to cook meals on and the grocery store was not far off. Being away from down town was perfect as it got us another step removed from the traffic and such. Our kids had great fun playing in the pool with the other kids staying their and we relaxed in the shade in comfy chairs. We used the Boogie boards supplied for some beach fun, which was a added bonus since we did not bring any of our own.
We cooked a big fish dinner and had it outside with the other people staying their, the big wood table fit 8 easily and made for a memorable experience. All in all it was a very comfortable place to spend a week at, it has the true essence of Baja and Todos Santos but dressed up enough to feel first class very well done.

Room Tip: the seperate kitchen/livingroom by the pool was the pick of the place.

What a great vacation! My family stayed in Alec's 3 bedroom unit at the end of March. We connected with two other families and shared some wonderful times at Casa Rancho. Alec provided very good information on activities and places in the area. This saved us some money and enhanced our experience considerably. Reserving the unit was easy and communication with Alec was excellent. We felt very safe and our kids enjoyed the freedoms that Casa Rancho had to offer. The price was very affordable and Casa Rancho would be an excellent choice for a couple, small family, or large group. The large resorts could never reproduce the Mexican authenticity that Casa Rancho did for us. We will definitely be repeating this trip and would certainly stay at Casa Rancho again. Best family vacation ever!

Room Tip: All rooms generally seem equal.

We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful Casa Rancho was after making the bumpy drive through the desert outside of Todos Santos. Our room was clean, as was the shared bathroom that we used. We particularly liked the access to shared living room and kitchen, which were both well equipped. The pool was lovely too! Casa Rancho is a bit of a drive out of Todos Santos, so you would want a car if you were to stay here, and be willing to do the drive in the dark, if you want to be in Todos Santos for supper. We did this one night, and it was fine. The streets were well-lit. It's a very quiet, peaceful spot.

Casa Rancho is fantastic! It is a perfect place to unwind and take in the scenery of the Pacific and the Mountains. It has fully equipped and spacious kitchens and the top story deck is so very relaxing. It is out of the main town of Todos Santos....so it is peaceful, quiet and much more private. It is affordable quality which is very hard to find. I will be returning very soon to enjoy my 4th stay at Casa Rancho....... revitalization! Must check it out.

"The accomodations were more than we expected, the landscape was stunning and the ambience perfect. We were walking distance to the town of Todos Santos and the beach (25 minutes) or shorter if we took one of the 3 bikes provided. The "grocery" store was a five minute walk. The place was private with very little other residences around. You are somewhat isolated but don't have the feeling of isolation. The views of the landscape are open desert vistas. One of the owners who happened be around was very helpful with all our questions regarding any aspect of our vacation and the rental property. One of the big pluses of the property is a covered tiled patio above the garage where some of us did Yoga or read in the morning and where the gange usually met in the late afternoon for fun and drinks. You can even sleep in one of the two hammocks there if one was of the mind to do so. The kitchen, dining room and living room which were in a separate building were wonderfully spacious and a great gathering place. On Christmas Eve we were joined for dinner by other fellow surfers for a feast and with 12 people in attendance the space was not crowded. There's lots of room for meal preparation for a substantial number of people, lots of place to sit around an antique dining room table and plenty of room to play games or watch TV. The master bedroom which is located in a separate building had its own bathroom and was delightfully furnished with local furniture. The bed was great. If you didn't want to cook the fresh seafoof that was readily available, there were plenty of good restaurants in town. We rented the house as a family with and few friends. Ages ranged from 22 to 62 and everyone loved the place and its setting. The surfers were happy as the waves were only a short drive away. New Years eve on the beach was a great way to bring in the new year. All in all this place is highly recommended for family vacations. Rob"
