Casa Bentley is an enchanting paradise. Consisting of magnificent stonework inlaid with semiprecious gems and gorgeous flowering gardens alive with hummingbirds you will feel you have entered a magical kingdom. I loved everything about Casa Bentley:congenial Prof Bob whose dream is reality, competent Beatrice who sees to every detail, the kind and courteous staff. If you wish to go outside the gates there is no lack of activities and delights: geology tours courtesy of Prof Bob, yoga class, superb dining, whale watching, a thriving art scene, to name a few....all within walking distance.
The rooms are spacious, inviting, comfortable and clean. There is a well appointed large kitchen with coffee beans and spices. The courtyard is conducive to socializing under the giant hule tree or taking a dip in the pool if you wish.
This amazing place will delight you in every way.

From the time I opened the Charles Stewart hand carved door this amazing gem surprized me.
Geology Professor Bob Bentley has designed and build a stone castle with gemstones embedded in the walls. The fountain cascading into the pool and one in the dolphin and fountain suites make this a quiet retreat with abundant flowers an urban sanctuary. 2 blocks from the town center. Massage is available. Beatrice the manager keeps each room spotless and well appointed. Shared kitchens have coffee and tea.

Bob will give you a geology tour around Casa Bentley or out in the high desert of the Sierra de laguna mountains. Terrific restaurants, galleries and yoga are within walking distance. It's a 25 minute walk to the beach and bird estuary.

Welcoming warm hosts, great value for the money.

Room Tip: Mango is the sunniest. The Fountain is a romantic suite with room to entertain.

We arrived tired and slept soundly in the Fountain Suite. The fountain outside of the room lulled us into deep slumber for 12 hours, much needed for the first night of our ten day vacation (we stayed two nights at Casa Bently). We did not have enough time to enjoy the beauty and quiet of this place and will be back. Thank you Beatrice and Bob for being great hosts and to Bob for building this sanctuary!

Room Tip: I chose our room based on the description on the Casa Bentley website and was not disappointed.

Picturesque tropical garden setting with exquisite crystal clear dark blue pool fenced property of about 8 small house/room facilities. Many rooms have private fridge/showers but about two have to share the communal one which is very quiet and may as well be private because no one else uses them.

Communal kitchen area with all mods and cons which is great to bring guests together and share experiences. Coffee beans and teas are all provided along with condiments salts and spices. When in season the manager of the hotel will bring you local fruits and vegetables to sample how amazingly delicious they can be grown close to the tree. Passion fruit, mangos and avacodos never tasted so good.

Owner and manager of the hotel were extremely helpful and accommodating. Helping out with every question and query. They always pointed us in the right direction and opened their house to us on our first night and organised for food to be delivered as it was late. They went out of their way and beyond their call of duty to welcome us.

Property was very safe. Gates and doors locked at night although the town of Todos Santos is very safe any way.

Hotel staff very friendly and talkative when talked to.

Rooms were spacious and artistically and independently decorated. There is a story behind every nook and cranny and never leaves you bored on your daily hotel explorations.

Maid service every day. Lots of fresh towls and bed linen.

Fans and aircon fitted in rooms. Aircon extra cost but the fans do the trick with the windows open. Windows have a mesh over them to stop bugs getting in. You see a few cockroaches about but they are fine if left alone. They just go away quickly and die. It´s as big a deal as you make it but the hotel manager is welcome to assist in any way necessary such as fumigating etc.

There are some friendly dogs on the property. Very nice dogs and easily avoided if necessary. I loved the dogs. Especially the big blond french poodle Jacques.

Property is in close proximity to the town. The famous ¨Hotel California¨ is just around the corner where you can sip pink champagne on ice or sample a range of their exotic foods by the well known Belgian chef Danny Lamote. Not to mention if your brave enough try all four of their utterly delicious flavoured margaritas. Jalapeno or hibiscus anyone? Bring it on!

Super markets are in walking distance from Casa bentley along with all normal town amenities such as banks, shops, churches. etc.
Locals are simply lovely and will have a go at any language you speak.
Plenty of nice restaurants about which the owner of casa bentley will keep you on the right path to find. I liked Zen which was a very nice oriental but you will find lots of places, including taco stands for something cheaper up to 4 star cuisine.

All in all when the road from airport to Todos santos is fixed in May 2012 your whole trip will not only run smoothly but combined with your stay in Casa bentley will be very chilled out, you can learn to surf, swim with the whale sharks and become an expert on tequilla. Enjoy your stay and give a big warm hello to the Casa Bentley crew. May your time with them be as enjoyable as mine.

Room Tip: All rooms where great but mind that one or two don´t have own fridge or shower so please specify.

Casa Bentley. Well, what can I say; I never write reviews but this I must tell you. When we travel we like to meet interesting people, human beings, locals and we were overwhelmed to meet Bob Bentley, the owner who has been living there for over 25 years. An eccentric professor of geology, a very nice human being that has many charming stories to tell, who has incidentally designed the rooms himself in a very unique style. The internal decoration is an evidence of a very tasteful and sensitive person, the Manager, Beatrice who constantly overlooks to maintain the overall services at a high standard. Casa Bentley is conveniently located at a walking distance to restaurants and town center of Todos Santos.
Beatrice, Bob, we salute you and can’t wait to come back and meet you.
Muchas Gracias!
