I actually live here on the Baja and wanted a mini getaway with a special friend. The Hotelito came highly recommended by a group of friends of mine from NYC who said that it was definitely the place to stay not only for its' charm but for the charming wonderful "Jenny" the Hotelito's owner. It is situated amongst some of the most charming farmland in Todos Santos totally removed from everything yet, with all of the ammenities one would find in any of the large deluxe hotels... incredibly comfortable beds with delicious sheets and comfy towels, flowers from the garden, an abundant supply of fresh water and hand selected books from Jenny's personal eclectic library (I am a reading snob and apparently Jenny is as well)
We were lucky enough to arrive after the Hotelito had been closed for a few weeks in September so everything looked so fresh and ready for the start of the season.
I look forward to a return visit hopefully with friends to take over all of the rooms or perhaps rent the main house for a group getaway

We stayed a few night in Todos los Santos at the Hotelito during August which is the low season and hot. We had the place to ourselves. It’s right outside of town and only a short walking distance but it’s better to drive to the actual town. The road is a major thoroughfare to the area north of Todos which has many homes and is not a pleasant walk. Sidewalks are sketchy and overgrown so you have to walk in the road in sections. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They’ll make you a great margarita on arrival :) Rooms are spacious for the price and decor is clean. Morning coffee and breakfast are good. The saltwater pool is refreshing and nice for laps. Only complaint is the hotel need some overall TLC. It’s a bit worn in places. An overall paint job, replacing umbrellas/pool furniture, wood staining and updating linens would make the place pop a bit more. Otherwise great for the price.

Thank you for your comments. I'm pleased you were well looked after by the Hotelito staff and enjoyed the complimentary Margaritas. You will be pleased to hear that we have been closed for the last two weeks of September doing all the repainting and sprucing up, that you so correctly commented we needed to do. We were hit in August, just before your arrival ,by a cyclone and have had a few pretty bad Tropical storms this summer which decimated all the roads in town. That being said we are delivering the much needed TLC you mention! New bed linens are on their way from London, and I hope when you next return you will be delighted to see we are once again back to our usual immaculate standards. I look forward to seeing you here in the Hotelito again and appreciate your comments.

My boyfriend and I spent 4 days at the Hotelito (Sept. 1-Sept. 4, 2013). During our stay in Baja Sur, we stayed at 3 similarly priced hotels, and the Hotelito was far superior in every way. Everything others have posted here is absolutely true. This place is magnificent. It is sexy, private, visually gorgeous with splendid colors and purposeful design. Jenny, the owner, has put so much attention to detail in her design, and her genuine wish for her guests to have a wonderful stay is evident. We stayed in Azul and were the only guests at the hotel during our stay, so it was exceptionally private. In fact, it was so private (no telephone or TV), we didn't know who to contact or how to contact anyone when we had an encounter with a very gigantic spider in our room (apparently the creatures come out after the rain. It was the only spider or insect we saw during our entire trip, however. Unfortunately for us, Jenny was away during our stay, but promptly answered any email correspondence.). We eventually knocked on the door where a staff member was staying & he came right away and dealt with the spider. We had planned a longer stay, but once we explored other areas in Los Cabos, we cut our stay shorter in order to check out other areas. Jenny and her staff were very accommodating and flexible to our change in plans. The pool is a wonderfully warm, salt water pool, surrounded by a beautiful courtyard. A couple of the chairs & hammocks could use replacement as they were weathered and torn, but it did not distract from the overall enjoyment of the place. Breakfast consisted largely of eggs (Mexican or American style), fruit, juice, coffee and little muffins and bread....quite delicious and plenty to eat. The staff was kind, courteous, gracious and accommodating. As for our room, there was some peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling, but aside from that, was absolutely impeccably clean. As others have described, the bed and linens were sent down from heaven I think...so cozy and comfortable, and a ceiling fan along with AC is a huge plus. I will say, there had been rains prior to our arrival, and the dirt road getting to the Hotelito was a bit challenging for our rental car (there was an enormous "puddle" across the road for several days), and we were worried about that same road when a tropical storm threat was eminent. The hotel is a short pleasant walk from a very isolated beautiful beach that, unfortunately isn't swimmable, and is incredibly quiet and serene. I can't say enough about this place (especially in comparison to the other hotels we stayed at during this trip). The Hotelito is in a category all by itself. Thanks again Jenny, Anita & staff. We will definitely return in the future! (PS. That welcome margarita is by far the best I had in all of Baja Sur!).

Room Tip: This is easy. They are all beautiful! Azul is next to the parking area, but since we were the only...

My 9-year old daughter and I spent a glorious week in Violetta and could not have been happier. Every inch of the compound - the rooms, the pool, the bar/breakfast area and the gardens - is beautiful, hip and sparkly clean. The staff is gracious and helpful and happy to help you arrange any adventures you like - we chose a private cooking lesson, horseback riding on the exquisite Playa La Cachora and a kayak trip in the Sea of Cortez. And Jenny will ensure you find exactly what you're looking for in Todos Santos. For me that meant recommendations for an incredible way-off-the-beaten-path garden restaurant and the best taco stands in town. For my daughter, it meant bottle feeding Jenny's sweet sheep and watching her train her beautiful horse.

The only minor downside is that you do have to go into town for lunch and dinner, but there is a lovely little communal kitchen if you want to make simple meals on site on your own.

My daughter's review (from a kid's perspective): "There are very beautiful rooms and everybody who works there is so kind and helpful. And I loved the pool! And Shawnie the sheep!"

Overall, just completely wonderful!

What I liked most:
- Room: huge, well appointed, stylish, super clean
- Garden: each room ('casita') has a private garden
- Bathroom and shower: awasome
- Breakfast: excellent
- Nice and relaxing pool
- Location: just off the village of Todos Santos on the way to the beach (La Poza)

What I didn't like
- n.a.

Room Tip: All the 4 rooms are nice, casita Violeta has the biggest garden

Everything is perfect, that's all. The Hotelito is on the road to the beach, far from the city and fully immersed into the nature. Every "room" is just like a little house, in a delicious garden, with plenty of common spaces and private area to stay. High design and style in every detail, good WiFi, very good breakfast. The pool isn't so big, but ok.

I agree with every other reviewer who has given praise regarding the Hotelito.
The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are LARGE and exquisite, the private outside sitting areas are dreamy, the staff is amazing both in friendliness and efficiency.
What I would like to explain is the layout of the property because I was a bit confused when booking and trying to decide which room to choose.
First they are all private and quiet. But I will give you a brief breakdown.
The Violetta seemed to be the most private because NO one walks past that room to get to others.
The Rosa second most private. It is directly behind the Violetta.
The Azul is right behind the cool bar/breakfast patio.
The Verde is the one with the twin bed and only gets foot traffic from those staying in the Violetta.
All of these rooms are extremely private because the property has excellent landscaping for that purpose.

The pool area is opposite the living space. It is not near any of the rooms. This is an amazing relaxing space.

You can walk to town along a path but driving is super easy also.
We spent 7 days at Hotelito and would love to be back there right now.
