The Cathedral is only the first one of about six or seven churches in downtown Saltillo that you must not miss. Right on the main square, across from Government Palace, it has a very important collection of religious works of art that make you feel like you're in somewhere in Europe. Right on the entrance, to the right, you can find an antique copy from the original of Our Lady of Guadalupe, that has been restored, with the history and explanation, that will leave you in awe. The Santo Cristo Chapel is to the left side of the Cathedral, especially important being the patron saint of the city due to the miracles attributed to this image. The cross holds a relic from the Holy Cross. Look for the brochures about the churches and museums in the downtown area. Lots to see and learn!
