Tried their special for 2 (beef/chicken/cactus/green onions..) It was very good. Place is very clean by local standards with excellent customer service. Prices were reasonable. Recommend El Fogon versus all the other locals based on cleanliness of tables and restroom.

Tacos al pastor is the best dish at this place. The menu is extensive. All salsas come separate, and although some are super spicy, even for my mexican taste and upbringing, being made from fresh ingredients is worth the tongue on fire !

Had breakfast at El Fogon recently. Food [American and Mexican style] was unremarkable to say the least. Very busy and noisy due to the location [which, incidentally is not located anywhere near its location in the TripAdvisor map. I've found the map locations for many of the restaurants in the city is wildly inaccurate].

We ate at El Fogon many times during our first trip to Acapulco 3 years ago because it was right across the street from our hotel, Continental Emporio. Over the course of the week, the waiters came to recognize our family members and soon we were like family. When we left, they gave us several terra cotta vessels (ashtrays and toothpick holders) with their name to remember them by. During our recent trip to Acapulco earlier this month, we made a point of visiting El Fogon once again.
