Our tour was arranged through the ship (NCL Norwegian Star) and it encompassed the best of land and sea, as promised. First we were taken on a (large) catamaran ride around the bay - beautiful inlets and rock formations, and for a while we were accompanied by a couple of dolphins, much to the delight of all on board. We were offered cut up tropical fruit and also glasses of icy cold Pacifico! Upon returning to the pier, we boarded a bus (with A/C) for the trip into town where we witnessed the use of cotton looms (original equipment brought from Spain), had the opportunity to taste multiple varieties/flavors of tequila, and toured the beautifully serene cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The largest painting (known in the world) of the virgin is on the ceiling. We wandered around the tranquil park before getting back on the bus to return to the ship.
