If you really want to discover the beauty of the Huatulco area you need to visit this park via boat. We hired a guide who brought us with a small boat into the area and I have seen the most beautiful deserted beaches I can imagine. I thought our vacation is Los Cabos was already not to beat, but after I have seen this, I would come back here in a heartbeat. Our guide dropped us off on several beaches which we had for us, just turtles and vultures around, the most of the beaches are good swimmable and the water is clear

Spent a morning in the park looking for birds. With the great guiding we found all of our targets and more including the Colima Pygmy owl and the red-breasted chat. Nice trail system. We had a great experience.

We took an ATV tour of portions of the park, stopping in a small village to buy snacks sold by the locals and driving through a banana plantation. We drove to several beaches stopping at one to relax and eat at an open air right on the beach and for snorkelling. The park is extremely clean and appears to be well maintained. It was great to be able to see some of the natural beauty of the area as well as seeing how the locals live.
