This was our 9th year at LaPosada. We started with just 2 weeks and have increased our stay to a minimum of 4 weeks. It is nice to be met by a staff welcoming committee including the hotel cat when we arrive. The owners are in the process of upgrading the rooms. Most now are air conditioned. There are a few small refrigerators available to be placed in your room in case you need to store meds, etc. There is a small studio available that has a kitchenette, a larger studio type apartment with a sitting area, larger kitchen & bath, much more storage and a balcony overlooking the bay. If you are traveling with family, you might want to consider renting the 2 bed, 2 bath house attached to the hotel. It offers access to the pool and beach. We can't say enough good things about this hotel. Although most of the staff do not speak english you can usually communicate with hand signals, etc. Since we are in their country we are trying to learn the language just as we would try to learn french for a visit to Paris or italian for a visit to Rome. This small bed and breakfast is not for everyone, particularly those who like high rises, lots of steps, crowds, and a fight for a chair around the swimming pool. If you want peace, quiet, lots of sun, uncrowded walks on the beach, a caring staff that treats you as if you were their mom or best friend then LaPosada is for you. Perhaps we will see you there Nov. 2013. We have already made arrangements for the apartment.
