Beautiful little town, excellent place to learn to surf. Enjoyed shopping in all the stores and sampling the local food. Very visitor friendly, you feel safe walking the streets. We took a boat ride through the area and saw huge boats and hotels; as well as, wildlife and ship wrecks

We did most of our "tourist" shopping here. It was perfect and a nice variety of shops and restaurants. Taking the water taxi to and from the nearby Wyndham was a wonderful experience.

Barra de Navidad is a beautiful little town, with lots of little shops and restaurants. It's very touristy, but in the best possible way; great food, friendly people, and beautiful views!

Barra has become our winter go to place. A almost perfect combination of small Mexican resort town, charming cobbled streets, some quality restaurants, reasonably priced accommodations and relative safety. It also the unique charm of the French Baker delivering fresh croissants by by boat our dock in the morning, romantic candle lit dinners with a view of the beautiful Grand Bay Complex and the Lagoon, boat taxi rides to Mary's Seafood, and much more. Barra is a $5 cab ride from her bigger brother Melaque that also offers many attractions. We spent the month of Feb there in 2012. The months of Feb and March there in 2013. We will be there again this Jan 3 through April 4...as you can see...a growing attraction. I love this place. Cheers
