“A Class Act not to be missed.”

Do yourself a favor and book a tour at Ola Brisa Gardens. Tommy & Patty are delightful hosts and customize each tour to meet the interests of their guests. I saw the gardens at its inception and was completely blown away when I visited recently. Tommy is passionate about the gardens and his enthusiasm shines through.

It's wonderful to see such knowledge pouring out. Patty is a delightful Southern belle and you will fall in love with her charm. Just go, you will be so glad you did. Be sure and come with questions as Tommy will have the answers or will research for you. Tommy has helped many home owners and condo associations in Manzanillo with their palms & gardens.

I wish Tommy & Patty much success.

“Palm lovers dream”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

This labor of love and learning is a must-see whether it's your first or tenth visit to ZLO. The grounds have evolved over a relatively short period of time to host many kinds of palms. some very exotic, and some merely excellent specimens of beautiful diversity, the best of nature's trees, in my opinion. The visit can be short or as long as your interest demands; tell Tommy and Patty what you want and they'll accommodate you. Your hosts are both proud to tell about the history of each acquisition or they can hit just the highlights and let you take in the beauty and restful scenery according to your own mood.

We've been going to Manzanillo for fourteen years and we endorse this visit as an annual pilgrimage. See what's new and how the "old" growth has evolved. It's not the Garden of Eden yet, but there's lots of time to see it develop. Thanks to these palm lovers, palm lovers have a place to enjoy. Go to their website to learn more before you go!

“Hidden Garden Oasis in Manzanillo”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

We went to visit Tommy and Patty after a recommendation from friends. After driving to the top of the hill we came across the smiling face of Patty waiting for us at the gate with her husband Tommy. We were warmly welcomed in and offered a mug of coffee whilst we had a chat about some of the history that got them to where they are today. We then began the tour of some amazing specimens of palms and other plants from all over the world.

Tommy shared his vast knowledge with us and answered any questions we had and cleared up a few doubts I had about my own garden! It is amazing to see how many plants have been planted and are thriving together in what is such a relatively small space. We learnt that you should not cut the palm fronds off a tree whilst they are still green, only when they are brown otherwise you will inhibit the girth of the tree and make it less stable as it grows higher.

The quality of specimens that are growing here are up there with the best I have seen, I think that the RHS would be proud to have any of the over 80 palms on display at Kew Gardens in London!

Thank you Tommy and Patty for a wonderful morning and for becoming our new friends, I hope we will be able to bring many people to you to share the fantastic space you have created.

Regards,

Dan & Ruth

Dear Dan & Ruth:

What kind and gracious comments – thank you so very much.

Interestingly, the Kew Gardens are on our “Gotta’ go to” list. Now THERE’S a garden!!!!!!

It was, indeed, our pleasure to have folks such as you who are truly interested in learning more about tropical botanical specimens.

We look forward to your return.

“First Class Experience”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

Our visit was actually in the Spring of 2012. Tommy and Patty have cultivated an absolutely first class experience for folks with an interest in gardening and horticulture. The knowledge and experience they share so well with their guests is impressive! The view and the atmosphere alone are worth your time. We highly recommend a visit.
