We were upgrading our electrical system in our condo and needed to get away from the mess. Since we live on the beach, we thought we would try the Camino Real. The hotel is clean and the staff very helpful. I checked online prices, but when I called the hotel, their price was $600 pesos cheaper per night than online.
The hotel has a couple of swimming pools and 2 wading pools. The restaurant La Huerta has an indoor air conditioned dining room as well as poolside tables that overlook the Manzanillo Bay. Food and service were very good. Food prices are a bit higher than local restaurants, but the view and convenience make the slight up charge tolerable.
Our only staff complaint was our maid, on the second and third nights our towels and coffee were not replenished. We had to call the main desk.
We were booked into a Junior Suite, which had a separate bedroom with King Bed, dresser and TV. The main area had a TV, table with 4 chairs, couches and side tables. The balcony overlooked the pools and the bay.
The hotel also has 2 and 3 bedroom suites.
I will recommend this property to friends coming to visit us in Manzanillo. The location is great, the views excellent, and the rooms are larger than standard hotel rooms.
The room rates are reasonable.More
