Sunset cruise was perfect. We even had a dolphin play with our boat while cruising.Staff was very fun and made us all feel very welcome. They were attentive with asking if they could take our pictures for us, what we wanted to drink or just to answer questions in general.

I booked the trip online just so I could have something to compare to when I got to Mazatlan. One never knows if the price is cheaper if you wait and book in Mexico. I was pleasantly surprised that Mazatlan Tours was cheaper. Would definintely use their service again.

It is always concerning booking with an organization in another country - without any familiarity. Mazatlan Tours were VERY responsive and attentive to all questions I had during the booking process. The tour was VERY well organized and enjoyable. At no time did we feel rushed. There was no high-pressure sales anywhere along the way. The tour group is in NO way associated with a timeshare - very important to ask. And it was clearly the most reasonably priced. We actually arrived back in Mazatlan one hour later than scheduled. So if you are on a tight schedule, be aware of this. I had been wanting to purchase some jewelry while on our trip. 'The Real McCoy' jeweler had a location at the Los Osuna Tequila Factory - where they could offer more reasonable pricing because of their low overheard, compared to their locations in The Golden Zone. I purchased 3 gorgeous rings - which were sized and delivered to our resort the next day. All-in-all, VERY VERY nice.

I chose Mazatlan Tours because they have a good website and I was able to book tours in advance, before the trip. Mazatlan Tours sells tickets, but most of the tours are operated by other companies. I don't think Mazatlan Tours has a physical office in Mazatlan. Regardless, everything went well. One tour had to be rescheduled, but we were flexible.

We enjoyed the following tours, which I've reviewed below: Copala & Concordia, City Tour, Deer Island, Stone Island, Beach & Backcountry ATV, & Mountain Bikes

Copala & Concordia: This tour was our favorite tour because you get off the beaten path and are able to see the less commercialized parts of Mexico. We enjoyed visiting a bakery, local artisans and the quaint town of Copala. The tour guide was excellent and the authentic lunch left us plenty happy.

City Tour: I recommend doing this at the beginning of your trip so you can get a feel for Mazatlan and your surroundings. Mazatlan has a beautiful historical center and an amazing Malecon (beach front drive). Also, don't miss the cliff divers or the lizard man--you'll know him when you see him ;)

Stone Island: This trip is perfect for families because there are many activities to choose from. We enjoyed horseback riding and kayaking. Also, we were able to see wildlife on the boat ride, which was fun and unexpected.

Deer Island: While similar to Stone Island, we had fun on both excursions. Deer Island is better for adults--longer boat ride w/ open bar, less beach activities. If anything, Deer Island is worth the cost just to escape the pesky vendors ... they don't swim that far :)

Beach & Back Country ATV: This trip was a little sketchy, but we had fun. Getting to the back country requires driving your ATV through Mazatlan city streets--driving in Mexico can be a daunting task. The Back Country is a gravel pit, NOT a jungle excursion or anything. We went to the gravel pit, played around and got comfortable with the ATVs. Then we went to the beach and let her rip!!! The beach was by far the best part. The ATVs were in good condition!

Mountain Bikes: Mazatlan has some sweet trails and awesome locals to ride with (Kelly's Bike Shop has Saturday morning group rides)! The trail was well maintained and the bikes were excellent quality! Take your pedals and shoes, they'll let you use them.

We were picked up at our hotel via an 'Arrega' (pick-up truck) and driven to a dock where we boarded a catamaran boat to Stone Island. On Stone Island we then boarded a tractor-pulled cart to a restaurant. There we went horseback riding on a beautiful beach and also went for a banana boat ride. After that we were treated to a delicious lunch. We had about 1/2 hour
to laze in the sun before we were called to leave.
We all enjoyed our stay on Stone Island and would recommend this tour,
