The cathedral is stunning, night or day. It stands alone in the center of the historical district as one of the most lovely sights and a must see if you are going to El Mercado or Plaza Machado. A lovely little square called Plazuela Republica is directly to the North, and from there the market is two blocks down on Benito Juarez. The cathedral itself is kitty corner to the only post office in Mazatlan. We went inside and sat through what turned out to be a funeral, and the interior was breathtaking. Easily accessible by foot, bus, or pulmonia. To walk from the Malecon, head up Angel Flores or Mariano Escobedo and hang a left on Benito Juarez. to take the bus - Get on the Sabalo Centro bus and get off at Carnaval or Benito Juarez stops.

Powerful feeling from the Lord here. Bold prayers answered. Always leave with a feeling that a rock has been lifted off my chest.

If you want to see something beautiful visit the Cathedral and don't forget your camera. We always go on Ash Wednesday for the services and it is most moving.
