The restaurant sits on top of a hill overlooking the bay and surrounding downtown area. It is a lot of stairs to climb but totally worth it. The service is impeccable and the tapas amazing. They have a full bar and decent selection of wines. The paella is amazing though it takes 45 minutes to make but worth the wait. Our friends totally enjoyed our dinner there and they are very picky and world travelers.

This has been one of our must go to places for years and I am updating my review to again say that this is a great place for a special lunch or dinner. It is on the hillside above the malecon with a great view of the city and bay below. They are in the middle of a remodel and will have an elevator up to the top by next fall. Now you climb the stairs to the main restaurant. There is also a rooftop part of the restaurant. We had a lovely table on the balcony with a great panoramic view. Our servers were so sweet and welcoming. Always with a big smile and wanting to make sure that we had a wonderful experience. We ordered the vegetable paella as soon as we sat down, because it takes over a half hour to make. We then had a delicious pitcher of sangria, super delicious. We had the beet gazpacho that is chunky and full of beets, cucumbers and perfectly blended together. It comes in a chilled martini glass that is beautiful and delicious. We also had a heart of artichoke salad that was so fresh and delicious. Than the large metal pan of our paella came to the table. So beautiful with bright green spinach, roasted mushrooms, beautiful red bell peppers, peas and zucchini over a bed of sweet, sticky rice. This is such a fun meal when shared by all at the table. After lunch we met the chef who had a huge smile and told us about upcoming cooking classes. How fun would that be! Definitely give this a try for a special dining treat.

There were about 4 floors to climb and for us, seniors, it was a hike. If there is a handicap for the visitor, I would say forget it. Once you got up there, all was good. Food, atmosphere, service etc. Again, the washrooms were one floor below, and entailed climbing stairs down and then back up. Choices on the menu were many and everything that we ate was good. Made reservation about 4 hours ahead on line and when we got there we were seated right away. There is a view of the bay but there is a building that obstructs part of the view and, although we were there at sunset time, we couldn't see the sun; also partly due to clouds.

First time. Near our Airbnb condo. Pleasant surprise that was recommended by our condo owner and Uber driver. Anyone who lives in Puerto Vallarta knows about this place and location. Simply amazing views, great food and fun attentive staff.Cant wait to return in October and our return to the Barcelona Tapas.

We have been coming here every time we visit PV for several years. We usually come in May for Restaurant Week. The food here is great as is the service. We also love the pitcher of Sangria. The view is superb, especially for sunset. You won't be disappointed
