Oasis Hostel

Wow. I have never stayed in a hostel before and if they are all like this one then I may just try it again. I accompanied some students on a university study abroad trip and found myself at Oasis for a few days. Guillermo is wonderful. He cooks well, is a gracious and knowledgeable host and goes above and beyond to ensure your trip is hassle free. Did I mention he is also an awesome tour guide?!?! Love you Oasis AND Guillermo!

This hostel is much more than just that, it is an institution. I have so much fun while staying here that I plan my trips to Mexico just to come hang out and have a blast. The owner is a fantastic guy who goes way out of his way to ensure that every has a great time, and that no one is left out. Whether you want to volunteer in the community, set up some adventures, or just go party on the Malicon, Oasis is the place that can organize it all for you.

I have visited this hostel 3 times and have found it to be consistently friendly, safe, clean, convenient and a wonderful home away from home. Being on the hill and a 15 minute walk to the beach is a good thing. Puerto Vallarta has constant and VERY LOUD construction that you can get some relief from at Oasis. The rooftop patio is a wonderful place to take a break from the city. Thanks Oasis!

Room Tip: No real choice available, but you won't spend any time in your room anyway

I went on a service trip with a college in MO. We spent a week working in daycares and orphanages around town. Guillermo (the owner) was an awesome tour guide and a blast to be around! Our room was clean when we got there and I felt that my things were safe the entire time. You get a lock to your room and a locker within the room to put things. We stayed in the Hostel that wasn't downtown. The breeze was amazing and the rooftop view was beautiful! The only complaint I have is that the pillows were quite hard. I suggest bringing your own if you have the room. But, it's safe to say that everything else was above and beyond wonderful! Overall, it was a fantastic trip!

Room Tip: Rooms toward the inside of the hostel have showers in them. Or there is a general shower area.

Guillermo runs a great hostel! He loves showing people around town, and Adela is the best EVER! She's very helpful with everything. I was just planning on passing through town and ended up staying for weeks. The decor in the hostel is cool too. It's not just thrown together. They actually decorated it as if it was their home. Because it is! I will definitely return.

went there with my friends cause of the good reviews.
In walking distance to everything, very clean rooms and facilities, cleaning lady comes around everyday (except sunday), breakfast: coffee, cornflakes, pancakes. free bike and boogieboard, nice rooftop, you have to pay 20pesos to leave bag after checkout, very secure place, nice stuff.
Gets pretty loud (people, church), therefore only a good place to PARTY.

Room Tip: in every room you party and dont sleep
